"Diamond you know I'm in love with you..stop playing."
I stared at my phone in disbelief at what I just heard.
"Jakai.. you're what?"I asked, in shock at what I just heard come out of Jakai's mouth. He always use to tease and just say he likes me.. but he never said he was in love with me.
"I'm in love with you Diamond, you think I'd be playing with all these pictures I got of you in my cell?"He questioned, I paused for a minute, thinking about it.
I never really discussed the whole like thing forreal..
Only because he put me through hell and back at one point, why would I discuss that with somebody who provoked me that way.
But technically if we're being honest now, I'm in love with him too.
I been holding shit down for him, helping out his mom with his little brothers. She needed all the help she could get, and I was there for all of that.
"No I don't think you would be playing, I'm just surprised to hear that honestly. I thought you were over me years ago, you still love me huh?"I gave a soft smile into the camera and he gave one back.
"Always, I miss that pretty face shorty."He cheesed in the camera, making me laugh. He was a huge goofball, that never left his heart.
"I miss yours even more, I haven't seen you in so long. So whenever I do I hope you know I'm not letting go."I smiled again, making him smile. He nodded slowly, putting his face into the camera.
"Oh yea about that, I get out in a month. You ima need-."I cut him off.
"Yes I know you need somewhere to stay, and of course I got you. I just got a new spot so it'll be enough room for us. Just make sure you got a way to keep some money in your pocket."I didn't care about nothing else besides him having some money. He don't gotta pay rent, he just need to keep himself together.
Cause honestly I don't even pay rent, that's why he doesn't need to. I know he's gonna try to so I'll take the money and hold it aside for him in case of emergency.
I want him to be good at all times, so keeping his money separate from mines is perfect. Even though I don't think he's going anywhere.
When he gets out we'll practically be attached by the hip.
Not because of me, but really because of him. I promise he's not gonna let me go, and I mean that.
I can definitely see it now, him following me around everywhere because he's scared something might happen to me.
"Alright Kai I gotta go, call me whenever you got the time."I smiled and blew him a kiss, not to mention wearing his favorite lipgloss.
It was my signature the NYX Buttergloss in the shade Gingersnap. Never a hit or miss.
He smirked and caught the kiss, putting it away for later.
This was the cute kid shit i like to do with him.
I can't wait till I see him face to face. I never cried when somebody got out, but with Jakai it's different.
We been through a lot of wild shit but we apologize and keep that shit moving, we could really never stay away from each other.
Then when he gets out, it'll be the same way.
"Diamond when I get out let's lay up and watch The Boondocks."
He knew that was my favorite show, so I promised that to him. It's a lot of shit I'll never say no to with him.
I really love his ass, and nothing could change that.
"You gone have my baby one day you know that? I want a son and you the only girl I want to have him, he gone be a junior too.."
He was so committed and something about that made me fucking melt.
"We gone get married too, no budget. You get whatever you want."
He treated me like a Queen even while being locked up. He sent me flowers and food every week.. he was already husband material and we weren't even 21 yet.
From the moment when he told me he was getting out.. it was a very anticipated countdown from then. I just wanted to be wrapped in his arms,safely.
"10 more days until can see your pretty face Alexis,I miss you so fucking much."
It was almost that time, and I felt like I couldn't wait any longer. Then that day finally came. I made a whole dinner for his ass too, and y'all know I don't cook like that.
He had me in love, and that was gonna be forever.
