Sevyn POV
I walked down the stairs cause my mother had called for breakfast."Good morning Sevyn how did you sleep?"I rubbed my eyes."I spelt alright"Mother placed my pancakes in front of me."eat up remember today is your first day of 5th grade"How could I forget.I wasn't nervous I was actually excited cause my best friend Hayden was in my class."Sevyn the bus is here"My father said while reading the newspaper.I quickly ate my pancakes and slurped down my orange juice.
I kissed my mother and father goodbye"We love you sevyn have a good day"They said.I walked outside to the bus and quickly got on I looked around for Hayden."Sevyn over here"Hayden said.I sat down next to Hayden."Ah so you decided to curl your hair today?"I turned my head to him."Yeah do you like it?"I asked."Yeah I do,it's really cute"Hayden said, fixing my bow.
I looked outside the window and I saw the missing posters of sage carver."You think they'll find him?"Hayden asked.I lifted my shoulders "I don't know but I hope they find him soon cause every kid deserves to see to another Christmas"I said as I let out a sigh of sympathy.Hayden placed his hand on my shoulder."Hey I'm sure they'll find him they just got to"Hayden said.
The bus pulled up to the school and every student started walking into the school.When me and Hayden got to the classroom the teacher told us to find seats with are names on them.Once everyone was in there seats Ms.Tenley started calling names."Sage carver?"Ms.Tenley called.I looked over at his empty seat.One kid raised her hand."Is there a sage carver?"Ms.Tenley called again."Sage carvers missing did you not know?"The girl spoke.Ms.Tenley stared at the girl.Then looked down at her clipboard."Your name is Fay Richards right?"Ms Tenley asked the girl."Yes ma'am"Fay said.
Ms.Tenley marked sage as absent.I felt sorry for her she probably know but then again Sage has been missing for 7 weeks so how could you not know?Once Ms.Tenley was done calling names she handed us an all about me worksheet.I looked down at the worksheet this is easy.I looked over to Hayden he was already doing it.I looked back at the worksheet.First question what is your name?.Sevyn Huxley I wrote down.Second question what's your favorite color?Thats easy green.Hayden's favorite color was yellow so I assume that's what he put.We could go out for recess after we finished are worksheet.I finished my worksheet pretty quickly.I went and stood in the coatroom waiting for Hayden.Hayden came running in."Hey sorry I'm late"He said catching his breath."It's alright let's just go now".
We walked outside to the playground."It's bigger than I remember"Hayden said.I shook my head in agreement.I scuffled my feet against the concrete as we were walking."What's wrong?"Hayden asked."It's just that"I took in a deep breath and then slowly let it out."It's just that sage carver has been missing for 7 weeks and the police said he disappeared without a trace it's complete bull someone's gotta know what happened to him I wanna look deeper into the case"I said.Hayden looked at Fay."I think she knows what happened to him"I looked up at Fay."You think she knows were Sage is?"I asked.
"Yeah she's cousins with him and she lives where he disappeared at she's gotta know something"Hayden said.Now that I thought about she probably does."Let's go to her house after school"I say.Hayden whipped his head back in my direction."Are you insane?!"Hayden said.I smirked "Yeah I am and your coming along"Hayden facepalmed himself."Why am I friends with you?"He asked himself.I giggled "i don't know but we're gonna find more out about sage carver"I said.
Suddenly the bell rang to go back inside.We took are seats and then the day went by pretty quickly.Me and Hayden were getting anzi in our seats waiting for the bus bell to ring.Finally the bell rang.I was walking outside when I bumped into someone causing me to fall.I groaned I stood back up.Who did I bump into.It was Fay."Oh I'm sorry"I said."No I'm sorry I was in your way I'll be going now"Fay said rushing off quickly."She seems very suspicious"Hayden said.I grabbed Hayden's hand and rushed out the school doors."Yeah let's see what bus she gets on?"I spotted Fay."Bus 145 come on"I dragged Hayden onto the bus we took a seat."We're gonna get in so much trouble"Hayden said tapping his foot."Relax I'll just say I had to go to a friends house"I said.I turned my head into the isle looking for Fay.
I spotted her.She was sitting next to Aaron."Yeah but what about me what do I tell my mom??"Hayden said in a panic voice."I'll just say I didn't want to go alone"I said reassuring him.The bus ride was a good 20 minutes.Fays stop.Fay came through the isle.After she got off me and Hayden followed when we got off the bus I pushed me and Hayden into some brushes near by.
"She stopped at Don Jenkins house?"I said.Fay turned her back to the side walk and continued walking."Hayden come on"I said sprinting out the brushes."Sevyn"Hayden followed me.I walked right up behind Fay."Fay Richards"I said.Fay turned around and stared at me blankly."Who are you and what are you doing here and As a matter of fact why are you following me??"Fay said in a low whisper."I'm sevyn huxley and I'm here cause I wanna know what happened to your friend Aaron's best friend sage carver and I think you know more you just don't wanna tell no one"I said getting straight to the point."You really need to go he could be watching us"Fay said shoving me."What do you mean who could be watching us?"I asked.
"He"Fay said.Hayden came up behind me."I am really out of shape"He said."Fay who could be watching us"I asked."Look come back over tomorrow and I'll tell you more now go"She was babbling at this point she seemed really scared."Hayden let's go will come back tomorrow"I said to him."Why what happened?"He asked."Let's just go"I said sternly."Alright well how do we get home?"He asked."I know come on"I said.
It took us about almost 25 minutes to get home.When we got to my house.We walked inside mother was pacing back and forth in the kitchen."Mom I'm home"Mother came running over to me and giving me the biggest hug "Sevyn where have you been school ended a hour ago"Mother asked frantically."me and Hayden were just at a new friends house sorry mother I'll make sure to tell when I go somewhere next time"I said in a soft voice."Your damn right you will you had me and Hayden's mother worried sick"Mother yelled.Hayden's face turned pale.Hayden's mom wasn't really the nicest she would hit him for the littlest thing."Hayden are you okay?"Mother asked him."Yeah I'm fine I just got to get home bye sevyn I'll see you tomorrow at school"He rushed out the door."You know sometimes I worry about that boy"Mother said.I stood there thinking of what might happen to him."Sevyn?"I snapped back to reality.
"Y-Yeah?"I asked."What do you want for dinner?"mother asked me."I don't want anything I'm not really hungry anyways I'll just go to my room"I couldn't eat knowing I got Hayden hurt or in troubled.Half way up the stairs."Also mom I'm going back over to fays house tomorrow with Hayden so don't worry"I said."Alright sweetheart I'll tell his mom that"I walked into my room closing the door.
I put my pajamas on and laid down in my bed.I kept shifting sleeping positions.I just couldn't fall asleep.I grabbed the teddy bear Hayden got me for my birthday.I cuddled it whenever I get scared or upset.I finally fell asleep.
