"I'm afraid I can't do that gentlemen. It's only fair to allow you to catch me. Well, that is if you can."
_Hermis zeyfa Zargota_

If I recall correctly, he flew in like a bird. An eagle perhaps because of the incredible speed he used. It was the sight of him reaching the place where his potential would be tested.

It was in the sacred ancient Kingdom of Zargota. The most powerful human kingdom by that time in about 1050BC. Zargota stood as beautiful city in a desert that is currently non-existent. The kingdom surrounded an oasis large enough to be called a lake. It held most of the most sacred objects left behind by the gods and titans. Many humans, nonhumans and new gods coveted these objects and tried to steal them. The gods and titans were angered and for this, Zargota was locked off from the outside world, away from the dark voids. It had a large wall surrounding it that was 30 feet high and 15inches thick. No one was allowed to enter or exit Zargota except under special instruction or acceptance.

Doing so was hugging a death penalty. It was considered treason to leave and one is considered a spy or a thief ,or even a medium for the dark voids, upon trying to enter. All those who tried to enter were given a horrible death so no one would dare to. But then again, after all, the desert around Zargota was unsurvivable. Over 200 years when 6 generations died, and so did all memory of and knowledge about the sacred Zargota.

I wasn't sure how he had come to know of this place but he did. And his arrival wasn't good news neither was it bad. He was to light hope through despair and happiness through light. I still never quite understood his ways and I still don't. But after all, every hero had a story.
