It happened so quickly, the piercing sensation, the blunt force of something ramming into him from his front, and the feeling of being throne back against a large tree. He hadn't noticed how loud he was wailing at the pain of being gored by an unusually large and aggressive male deer. It reality the wounds weren't that bad, though they'd certainly require a hospital visit. He tried his damned best to hold the horns of the deer to prevent it for getting in a more fatal wound.
His hands suddenly jerked forward as the deer frantically backed away from Iori and went wild. Attached to its side by serrated fangs and strong jaws was a beast of formidable strength and stature. It dug its claws in until the deer venally started running. Only then did it release the large creature and look back at Iori worryingly.
"Young lord! I am so sorry I am late!" Iori's retainer called out, katana in hand as he ran to try and face off with the four legged beast standing with blood soaked jaws.
"No! Dosestu that creature is not the one who did this to me!" Iori frantically informed. The creature ran off when Dosetsu's attention was drawn away from it. "It... it saved me... it looked back to make sure I was okay!" Iori explained before grunting at the slightest movement.
"My lord please stay still." Dosestu said, going over to Iori and picking him up gently, trying his best to not irritate any of the wounds he had obtained. They'd be going to the hospital first, and then Iori could explain what sort of beast did this to him, if it truly wasn't the creature that supposedly saved him.
Ichor made his way back home, shifting human and wiping the blood from his face. He was currently in he residence of a young woman with a little to much money. This lady was miss Rusty, an alias, who was a well known mercenary on the deep web, who charged cheep for her jobs, because she was simply so skilled anything she went after was much too easy to take down. This allowed the young woman to be hired more and as a result she ended up with too much money to know what to do with. So she spent some of it on a nice modern home out in the woods, where she and Ichor spent their time idly doing things until something interesting happened or they were called on by their friends. Ichor threw off his blood soaked shirt before walking in.
"I'm home!" Ichor called out, going straight to the bathroom to get cleaned off.
"What was that scream about hm?" Rusty asked, leaning over the bar in his kitchen that overlooked the living room and entrance. "Someone get attacked by a wild animal?"
"Yeah some absolutely huge deer. Was pissed off too." Ichor responded, stopping in the hallway opposite the kitchen to converse more if Rusty wished to do so.
"Heard about that thing on the news. Animal control can't seem to get it under control. Something like 'huge deer on rampage! Beware the wooded areas of your neighborhood!' Or something like that. Wonder if the local strays like venison... wanna hunt it for me? I'll pay ya." Rusty said with a slight smile. Ichor thought for a moment before walking into his room and emerging back from it with a long bow and a quiver full of hunting arrows.
"Here I thought you were against the killing and consumption of animals." Ichor chuckled, about to head out the door.
"I'm not against other people eating what they like. I just can't bring myself to eat an animal. I'll make a call to the butcher in town. I'll call Steven too, don't wanna mess up the precious cargo." Rusty explained, already going to grab her phone. "Happy hunting werewolf man." She joked and made the calls as Ichor left to quietly take on the task of killing this rampaging beast.
A blood trail, combined with his keen sense of smell, and he found this large deer nursing his wounds next to the river bank. Quietly, Ichor took an arrow from his quiver and knocked it back on his bow, drawing the string to the corner of his mouth and eyeing his pray through the lenses of his dark shades. As the deer lifted its head from licking its wounds, Ichor took the shot, arrow flying through the deer's eye and getting stuck in its skull. The deer fell limp as Ichor stalked over to review the beast he had shot.
