chapter 5- hang out?
I'm sat by her bed with the stuffy smell of the hospital cream neutral walls with the sound of the machine bleeping by the side of me. why did this have to happen to us?.. how did this happen?.. i needed answers and now! just then a nurse walked in she had
dark brown hair tied back into a neat bun with blue eyes which was matched with the blue scrubs she had to wear.
'' I'm nurse Tory. I'm just going to flip through your mothers notes''she spoke taking my mothers notes from the end of the bed flipping through them her eyebrows raisd as she read some of the information.
'' is she going to be ok ?'' i ask my voice full of worry
'' yes as soon as she wakes just pull that cord right there'' she says reassuring me pointing to a red piece of string dandling form the ceiling with a red handle ''that will call any nurse from the desk and your mothers ward light will flash on our desk. we will be right in to ask her some questions to see if she remembers anything and then we can give her some pills to take some pain away.do you have any other questions?''she asks and raised her eyebrows for me to answer
'' a-ahh do you know when she will wake?'' i ask grabbing my mums hand being careful of her arm which was broken in the accident
'' no we don't I'm sorry we estimate between 12 to 20 hours'' she says with pity in her eyes '' do you want me to get you anything like a coffee?'' she asks just before she leaves the room.
'' I'm good thanks'' i say gratefully
'' ok just let me know if you need anything''
'' i will thanks''
the next thing i hear was the door close softly. i take a look over at my mum laying still in her bed with her badly bruised eyes and cuts over her forehead and down her cheek and a graze over her chin then she just has a load of bruised going down her arms . the blankets were over her broken leg. i stand up and walk over closer to her head.
'' hey mum '' i say stroking her head .. kinda like she was a dog ..
'' do you wanna wake up anytime soon Ive been sitting here for 22 hours you know? .. uncle ian is coming over later with Lucy ..''
opening my mouth so speak again i closed it. '' wake up soon mum'' i kissed her on the forehead gently grabbed my things and left through the door towards my bus stop blinking away the tears forming.
the bus ride back to my uncle's house was weird. i hasn't seen my uncle in almost 3 years. he went out to America to meet this girl he was talking to he stayed over there to live with her.. but his visa was cut short so be had to be demoted back to the UK.
it was my stop to get off the bus it was right outside my uncle's house but just as i was getting off someone was getting on..

shit i forgot about our meet up. the hottest guy on earth and i forget about a simple meet up.. well i do have my mothers stress on my shoulders so i guess that's an excuse.'' umm earth to Jodie? .. '' he waved his hand in front of my face i must of zoned out thinking about my mum
