The world slowly moved into focus before Alex realized the bell was just about to ring. Alex grabbed his stuff and looked around, recognizing the class and everyone in it. Since people were far more interested in leaving, no one really seemed to pay any attention to him hopefully. Sometimes someone would look his way and hold their gaze for a moment before continuing on, but Alex pushed that aside so he could think about it another time. Right now he needed to go check on his friends. Alex tried to quickly get out of school without causing any attention to himself, and he couldn't tell if people were still whispering and staring at him. The thoughts still remained present even though he tried to push it away. Then he realized the door was right in front of him. He immediately rushed out, trying to breathe fresh air. But it didn't feel as refreshing as he thought it would. He swiftly walked to his car, turning it on and immediately starting to play some music. Alex poured his attention into the song, slowly calming down. He took a deep breath and sat in the car for a moment before pulling out of the driveway.

__The slow rumble of the car engine slowly died down as Alex parked in front of Brian's house. He needed to check if Brian was okay, and get him caught up to everything that he missed. There was a small buzz in his ear as he walked up towards the door and knocked. It slowly got louder and louder until the door clicked open.
"Oh, hey Alex. Sorry for bailing on you today. I got -
sick. Staying around Tim while he's sick is not a good idea. He didn't even warn me, kinda rude but it's too late to do anything about it. Better stay back or we'll infect you too! I feel like I'm doing all of the talking. Did I miss anything important today?"" Uh- No. I don't remember why I came here- Oh wait the scripts! "
Alex lifted his hand to give Brian a couple of sheets of paper. As Brian started to look over them Alex fidgeted with his necklace. He didn't know when it started but the static was suddenly making it hard to focus. Alex looked around and clamped his ears shut, and looked toward Brian to see he was still invested in the script. Out of the corner of his eye, Alex spotted the outline of a black suit. He opened his mouth and looked up only for everything to stop. Everything was dead silent for a moment. Everything was still for a moment.
"Dude, Alex? You've been staring at God knows what for quite a bit. Are you okay?"
"Oh shit sorry, I thought I saw something and then probably spaced out. I'm good."
"If you say so. By the way, the script looks good I like it. I'll look into it more. Keep me updated so I'm not behind when I'm better please! This is a really good project and I'd hate for it to go to waste."
"Of course Brian, I'll send you texts and stuff. We can work on other stuff we need meanwhile you rest up and get better. Make sure to show Tim the script too! I should go now, Rocky is expecting me and I have some work I need to get done myself. Bye Brian, say hi to Tim for me."
"Bye Alex, stay safe!"
