"Yu!"
Someone screams my name. I turn around. Simon adjusts his satchel.
"Oh, hey Simon."
He gave me the sweet smile like he always did. He pushed up his black glasses before booping my nose. "Boop!" He added on as a sound effect or something of that sort. I grabbed his arm.
"What's with the dim look, Yu?"
"Ah, nothing really just thinking about how Riley hasn't been at school."
"I'm sure he's fine, maybe he dropped out."
Drop out? Riley loved school and loved the student body counsel, he wouldn't leave it for all the money in the world. Simon realized that I was worried, "It'll be fine, I swear it will" he said grabbing my hands. Tears were starting to form in my eyes, I squeezed his hands.
RINGGG
The bell rang. Simon let go of my hands and said "See you in P.E.!". He adjusted his satchel then left. I looked down at my hands, they were red and warm. I blushed a bit. 'Darn it! I'm going to be late!' I thought. I collected my thoughts 'we're just friends.'.
'Just friends...'
