Ethan smiled at me, well what looked like a smile, it was fake

"You won't last long around me either...you'll die soon" he mumbled under his breath probably not intending me to hear but I heard, gonna be honest

Freaked me out

He walked back in the house to search for bolt cutters since the exit was blocked

He soon found them and went through the hole we were thrown out of and of course I let go of him, didn't want him to freak out about how touchy I was

Sure, I originally came back to see my mother but I possibly made my first friend, if he didn't talk about death so much

"So why were you near this part of town? What it looks like, your local and you look like your not used to this house" Ethan asked as he cut the gate and continued on

I said nothing as we walked "not much of a talker?" He asked looking back at me, I shook my head no

Only people I talk to is my mother, her siblings, and the duke and I only said one word to Ethan, and well my teachers back at college, kinda had to if I didn't want to get expelled

We walked over a little bridge and went into the house across the one we were in before, we heard some groaning from inside

I gulped as we entered

We started walking around then we separated I went upstairs as Ethan stayed downstairs

One of the stairs cracked and I almost fell but I hurried up the stairs so I don't fall, I looked around and it looked normal so far

The window was boarded up so I went over to the window only for a Lycan to jump from the window to the roof, I'm gonna die, shit

I heard Ethan struggling downstairs but as I stepped on the first step I heard 2 Lycan behind me, I hurriedly made them float up than down and eventually they died

I went downstairs to see Ethan knifing the Lycan through the window after a while he asked "is it..over" I then notice the bite marks an his neck and all the blood

I patted his shoulder and pointed at my neck hoping he got the point "i..yea I'm fine, don't worry" I nodded, the radio then turned on out of nowhere I went close as Ethan stayed where he was "Hello? If there are any..survivors out there please come to my.." I recognized that voice

"To luizas house..Near the fields!" I was confused "survivors..?" We asked at the same time on accident, me and Ethan looked at each other, I smiled as he just turned away

"If you been here awhile shouldn't you know about this?" He asked, I shook my head "no, I just came back after 4 years" he just nodded and continued on

We went out the front door and went around the house to continue walking, maybe I should talk more "y'know this is the way I came from, i dont know why it's all locked all of a sudden" I said trying to make a conversation

All I got back was a hum

I sighed and look away, welp there goes my confidence

Anyway, after a while we ran into more Lycans but with weapons this time, and I got a shotgun to blow their faces off

"There's no end to them!" Ethan said while we ran from them, soon we were cornered and couldn't do anything oh and a Lycan shot Ethan in the leg and a machete in his shoulder, they just grabbed me and dragged me over to Ethan

"Oh my gosh! Ethan! Are you still alive!?" I asked as I was gripped harder and 2 lycans with horses came "im fine! I swear" he said coughing

A giant boi then jumped down and almost killed Ethan but something caught their attention, they all ran towards it leaving us alone

"Ethan let me get that out of you" I said reaching for his arrow as he just waited, I pulled it out as he grunted in pain, then I got the machete out

I got out some bandages and went to wrap his leg but instead wrapped his hand, it was bleeding so much more and where the arrow was it wasn't bleeding

Ethan smiled, a real one, but it was small

We both looked over at a lady that just opened the door we tried to open 6 times

"Wait! Ma'am wait!" Ethan yelled as she turned and walked away, I knew who it was already, and I think she saw me, this isn't good

Ethan tried to get up, so I helped him and walked with him over to the door

I followed him as 'the lady' talked " in life and in death, we give glory" she said looked away from us "uh hello? You. Shouldn't be out here it's not safe" Ethan said worried, I'm happy he's actually kind

"What the hell.." he mumbled, well kinda kind

"Hey can you hear me?" He asked as she turned around and looked at Ethan  "ahhh, it's you! The child's father" I looked into her eyes, I was right, it was her

"Child? Hey, wait do you mean rose? Is she here?" He asked frantically, aww he cares so much for his kid

"Rose! Rose! Yes!" She said giggling "she is in great danger" she said with a straight face "since mother Miranda brought her to the village, we have fell into darkness" she said

So that's why it was so weird

"Are you talking about the monsters?" I asked as the attention fell on me, she ignored me and walked away making me frown, I saw Ethan frown a little to

"The castle bell heralds danger! They're coming" she said almost closing the gate laughing maniacally

"No, Wait! Where's Rose!" He asked "who's mother Miranda!" He shouted

"The bell tolls for us all! They're coming again!" She said finally shutting the gate

"Rose is here?" He asked sadly, I frowned and patted his shoulder to witch he grabbed my hand and smiled

I blushed a little, a caring father and a kinda kind man

I think I got a little crush
