In the time before the sirens attacked the world had finally realized how silly war was and had buried the hatchet so to speak. Once bitter enemies became strong alies and even close friends. Trade flourished and a new age of knowledge had begun....but like all good things this too came to an end
When they first arrived they destroyed entire cities before any one army could respond and even then they stood little chance. Countries were fearing that the only option was nuclear warfare. But in the darkness shown a bright light. This light being cubes that turned entire warships into feminine weapons that could combat this nightmare.
This is where we meet a scientist known only by Dr. thorn. He was a very bright mind that spent most of his time trying to help people. He and his wife and sons were spending much needed time together. While his wife was cooking he and his sons were wrestling and Dr.thorn well he was winning.
Thorn: mwahahaha you shall all perish from the awesome power of MEGA DAD!
1: Noooooo!
2: omg he's gone super dad!
3: his power level is maximum!
4: what does that even mean?
5: it means we're doomed!
1: if only there was someone strong enough to best him!
Just then thier cries were answered by one heck of a momma and "Mega Dad" Got pulled by his ear.
Mother: come on boys time to eat.
All: Yay!!!!
They were having a wonderful night until hope island was attacked. The sirens showed that no one was safe. The newly formed Azur Lane dispatched as quickly as they could but it was far too late. The island that had a population of 100,000 plus was now reduced to a handful of survivors and ash. Dr.Thorn was found on his knees....motionless....broken. Two shipgirls found him and rescued him
SG1: Sir I'm very sorry but we need to go.
SG2: Yeah we don't know if they'll return.
Thorn:.......no
SG2: WHAT?!? Are you nuts
Thorn: please just leave me to grieve...please.
Both girls were concerned but they understood his wishes and left. Afterwards Dr.thorn vowed he'd do anything to at the very least give his sons a second chance and set to work.
Thorn: I know it's absurd but I'm going to try. I MUST!
In the following years Azur Lane would have various success. But this too halted due to differing views and beliefs. This led to a split into the original faction and the crimson axis. But the sirens were still lurking in the shadows like a cobra poised for the strike. Biding thier time. Toying with the ship girls. Humans on the other hand they seemingly vanished into the broken world leaving the ship girls to rebuild. But Dr.Thorn he...well he did it.....sort of. He found a way to bring his beloved sons back unfortunately before he could really take joy in his accomplishments he had succumb to an infection from former injuries and passed away. Leaving the sons trapped in cryo sleep.

Olly taking great offense to this attacked Ham while Lou tried desperately to stop them. Meanwhile Y/n and Maine found something too giant to be real. 5 gigantic battleships.

A mighty battle was about to insue do to a certain fox's shall we say ignorance? Doesn't matter. A beautiful spector and her compatriots were stairing down the fox ready for war.
