Jeff's POV:
I hate the stupid outfits we always have to wear to these things. Not because they don't look good but because they never are in my size. Besides that it was finally coming to the time, well it already is the time. I had seen quite a few people already moving in earlier, the boxes are everywhere and the town is alive. I've never seen this, up until now it was always only ever Husckis, Silver, Yeong, Ellen, and me. But now, now I see an array of multiple colorful diverse people, both regular humans and crystavanians. I do my best to look at everyones eyes and try to spot out the special colors. I see a familiar face a long time enemy but younger? The old lady that endangered my people long ago, it looks like her but not her, I'll need to keep tabs on her.
We now all have definite jobs. I'm the chief of authority, or main police officer around her now. I'm getting about two recruits if I remember right. The town is going to be so new after this day, I hope for the better. After everything I just want Husckis and me to be alright for once, and not in the danger of threat, or great sadness.
I watch my husband up on the spotlighted stage, he as a person loves suits, probably because he's short and thin, compared to him I'm massive bulk, well we can't always help problems we have in life even if it isn't a problem, but makes some problems. He is about to deliver the welcoming speech for the new people. So far I've spotted a Ice Gladiator and a Emerald Goat. These are both names given to the specific ability you're born with. I chatted with the Emerald Goat, he was nice, well into his 50's, however he was quite fit, he apparently was a doctor. If anything I'd be expected to be the doctor at first being a Sand Komodo, they are almost always born to heal others with their power and have very little fighting potential. However I was born with a disease that made me different from all of them, it's quite rare but being born with it can make it quite worth it.
"Good evening my new town. I'd like to welcome everyone in from all over the island. Whether you where in a area that was unable to support life or doing just fine you will all be treated equally hopefully." My husband had began, I was watching everyones expressions glancing from now and then. Everyone was paying attention so far, I saw one boy in full white standing out. He was pure white almost in his skin tone with a little yellow color, he reminded me of my husbands real looks so much. However my husband has hair thats dyed completely brunet and a mask to cover his eyes, although I've seen his real self many times. This boy however was so exposed to his color I question how he lived. He was definately a Crystavanian he had almost every feature of his power. However he didn't seem to have the build a Soul Serpeant usually has. His comparison to Husckis and him was so different, he was a normal height where as Husckis is small, he was very thickly clothed and Husckis prefers a normal single layer of clothing. He had to have something different, mabye I should ask him sometime tomorrow while greeting everyone else.
"I expect everyone to treat each other as they want to be treated, the whole childs shit. No need to act kid friendly, I don't see any children in here." He said giggling. "Daily agenda for tomorrow is posted outside on the board. If you have any problems, questions, comments please go see Silver, Ellen, Jeff, or me." He finishes pointing at each one. "I know there is some regular humans and Crystavanians. Now I expect you all to get used to each other, don't exclude, include. I'd love everyone to get to know each other so I have payed off lunch for tomorrow at the cafe for everyone, and I expect a ton of bright faces full of food." He finally finishes.
His medallion shown bright, it was for the dispatching of the tyrant long ago. I have one as well as Silver and Ellen. The battle was so long ago, and all we wanted to do afterwards was forget it ,and cry to sleep holding onto each other, streaming tears of happieness. Husckis was about to be sent to death at one point in that long war. I remember it. He would have died... He was being hung in a quick attempt to finish execution before we could find the area he was locked in while bombarding the whole prison. I had moved as quick as I ever could in my whole life and trust me I can already run fast. Thank God I didn't break his neck accidentally I sliced my axe into that rope so fast there was no indication a axe was slicing right through it besides being parted in two.
He walked down taking my hand. "Do you think I messed up? I feel like I messed up." He says really unsure of himself being able to do this, I can just feel it on him.
"Hun you did great." I reply kissing the top of his head.
"Thanks. Hey did you notice that one girl with the blue and silver hair? She was staring at you quite a bit." He says taking a glass of whine from the table nearby.
"Who?" I reply taking a drink of the one I was about to finish.
He searched around for her. "Hm I don't see her anymore. Oh well. She's one of your recruits and the lead detective, if I remember her file right. She isn't a Natural Born though that's for sure." He says taking a drink of the whine.
"How about we go see that boy over there." I point at the boy dressed in fully white. "He looks like you a little, or what you really look like." I finish.
He just stares for a moment behind his mask, but I can tell he's curious as hell now. He doesn't really have any hole to see outside the mask, being a Soul Serpeant he can sense the surroundings, and turns that into a colorless vision. "That boy is no way like me. What is he?" He looks dumbfounded we both know that most people do not ever appear like that. EVER.
My husband quickly was over by the boy with me not far behind. He gave a very happy smile his face turning straight from almost pure white, to rosy red with blush at our question. "H-Have you ever heard of Nomansfear Disease my friend?" He said smiling brightly.
Nomansfear Disease. That my friends is exactly what I live with. My case is extremely effected. It's something you want to be born with more than not. It completely changes your powers and your growth and look as well. I was supposed to be a healer that would be slender in appearance, however I am easily able to gain muscle if I don't have any, my powers supposed to be great with healing are exponentially powerful and fighter type. As well the powers bend greatly to the axe I used to weild but now find a nice trophy to hang above the fireplace.
"You have Nomansfear?" Husckis asked looking quite intrigued.
"Yes however not in an extreme case. I am supposed to be a Soul Serpeant, however Nomansfear turned me into a flower like man." He said making pure white energy flowers that had very sassy colors at their edges appear around him, his white eyes glowing fuschia a little around their edges.
"Now that is just so amazing, you have albinism in you, you have Nomansfear disease, I'm amazed." Husckis admits. I'm just waiting for him to tell the guy I have it too but more extremely.
"My husband has it too!" He gleams taking a hold of my arm as I let out a few particles of sand appear around me.
"Ah. It's good to meet someone just like me." He says a very cheerful smile.
At this point I feel we all have shared something in common compared to everyone else. Feeling different. My whole life I was my brothers little minion. Husckis was a slave to depression but handled it, his father was killed by our enemy when he was young and tortured being surrounded by so many regular humans when he was young. He did something at one point, and was left alone with only two people left. Yeong and a man we don't speak about anymore. Yeong was and still is his best friend. She's a peculular lady, she is attatched to ancient people that were here before the radiation happened a good thousand years ago. I don't get into much detail about that though.
Okay Husckis well. Husckis had a point where he did a major amount of bad things, his old boyfriend before he ever met me. He dragged Husckis into drugs and smoking. He however beat Husckis a ton around the last year of their relationship. Yeong banished him from the lands threatening to use him as fertilizer for her garden if he ever showed up again. Husckis in an attempt to escape all his addictions took up graffiti. It was healthier than drugs but at the time we were still being hunted and killed. He got away with using a mask and hair dye. Then soon enough he met me, then the others, then... Well I should save that story for later. Long story short, tyrant is dead, we're married, he's happy so far. Nothing bad will happen.
We'd spent a lot more time at the party before heading home. I was fully drunk and he was grieving over it. Whenever I'm drunk it's not pretty, I get addicted really really easily to drinking. And I get a little stupid and frisky when I do. Okay really stupid and really frisky...
