Husckis POV:
I yawned hearing the doorbell ring scruffing my hair a little, I looked up at my giant wine smelling husband whom was completely attatched to me right now. "Come on get up." I cheerfully yell.
"Huh what?" He stupidly says in a groggy voice, rubbing his eyes sitting up.
"You have work today, and I have work today. There's someone at the door. You'd better go get ready." I say kissing his cheek taking my mask from the bedstand, grabbing a hoodie and making sure I had boxers on.
I opened the front door to my house looking up at a girl with blue hair and a silver streak. She had a little girl with completely darkish silver hair and green eyes with her holding her hand. "Hello?" I say propping my mask just above my mouth to fake a smile.
"Hi!" She starts then stares for a while peeking somewhat above me then looking back down at me. "Oh yeah, you're the mayor who's named after the town right?" She begins again.
"No, the towns named after me. You know like how kings would do with naming places after themselves." I input.
"Well either way nice to meet you, my names Kat, and this is my little sister Lilly." She says.
"Hi." Lily inputs to the conversation.
The young girl was smaller than me. Thankfully I'm not too small. "Hi Lilly, I'm Husckis how old are you dear?" I say bending a little offering my hand for a shake.
She happily shakes it then my husband finally busts in only in a towel brushing my teeth. "Hello who's here?" He says looking at them.
"It's the new detective and one of your recruits. She brought her little sister." I say looking at him.
I look back and the girl is staring straight at us, well morely right at him. "Um are you two brothers or?" She says blushing with a frown. Oh God, I think this girl has the hots for my man. This instantly burns my face red and I pull down the mask I'm wearing below my mouth. "Uh no me and him are married..." He awkwardly says wrapping an arm around my waist.
"Uh oh damn uh." She begins before interupted.
"THATS SO CUTE!" Lilly squeals out staring at us.
I smile at the girl. "Heh thanks. Hey Kat don't be late alright? The first day is a great impression." He says, keeping his hand around me as I close the door slowly.
I stare at him for a while taking the mask off. "This is going to be a long life..." I say.
I earn a heart chuckle from him. "Come on lets get ready for work." He says, kissing my nose.
It's around noon now and I've been stuck in this office all day filling forms out, and signing off payments for goods to ship in, finalizing some industries for work. Some people have come in asking about the posibilities of any other jobs opening up soon. I've had to tell most of them to wait due to the towns buildings needing refurbishing and areas needing to be cleared. Most of this isn't new to me. Ever sense I quit adventuring far off to the main city far off through the desert I took up a new hobby instead of grafitti. Learning how to manage a town. I knew this point would come, so I planned ahead.
Sighing, I wipe sweat from my forehead dreading not refurbishing before hand. This place really needs air conditioning, I'll request parts later. I finally finish what I'd wanted done getting every letter and small package I'd need.
Heading down the pathway I spot a few people conversing, heading towards the cafe. I accidentally bump into a very familiar person. I stare,my breath hitching, at her. Her?!?! She's dead! Why is she still alive?! I begin to hyperventilate a little, staring at the lady I had slain so long ago. She looks so young though and...colorful. "Hi! I'm Karen!" She says, looking kinda weirded out.
There was someone right next to her. That girl Kat from earlier. "Y-You're? You... I." I stutter before running off frightened remembering the torture I endured due to her and the fear she'd strike into me. The only reason I won against her was because The Bloom allowed me to.
I ran straight for the train station that was finally re-opened, tears running from my cheeks as I'd been frightened greatly. I still upheld my duties as mayor making sure I gave the mail to our personal deliverer whom was ready to go, avoiding his asking of me being alright. I assertively walked away rubbing my cheeks still.
"Husckis?" I hear a familiar set of voices call out.
I look over and see it happened to be Yeong, Ellen, and Jeff. I instantly run for the comfort hugging onto them. "I-It's her th-the woman again." I say in utter fear.
"Oh... Her... Right. Err Husckis that was Karen. 'Her' niece. She has no idea about anything that had happened to her aunt or any idea that you killed her. She was secluded from the truth and always will alright. She not the same as her. She's a human too" Jeff blurts out as he pets my hair, while Yeong has one of my hands comfortly rubbing it.
After some time I was feeling better. I just lost it like I'd seen a ghost I'd never want to see again. I had a promise I needed to keep up. However, I'd only do so with Jeff, Yeong, and Ellen with me. I had no idea where Silver was; probably doing something with the power source of the towns electricity.
Silver is quite a odd fellow; he was a born prince however possesses five whole powers unlike anything I've ever seen. That's the only time more than one power has ever been seen and he has one that developed for him and him only uniquely. His special ability is refered as a cybernetic angel. I suppose due to him being in so much radiation to computers and phones all the time. Being someone who had to hide a lot and be alone however having connections he took up a huge interest in technology and had a thing for controlling whatever he could and slowly developed a link to technology through developing another fifth power. I won't go into his other ones but they're all linked to his family members that died for him before and while he was being born in the case of his mother. His father was a noble warlord king with a miniscule temper. His mother a sweet queen with a golden heart. His grandpa a man of purple royalty. His grandmother a lady with a green thumb for her kingdom.
Heading down to the cafe I noticed that quite a few people acknowledged the idea of a free lunch as well. I slowly took out my wallet checking for my money I'd have on me, should be enough I hope.
I noticed our town gaurdsman and his wife with a small child that couldn't be less than a infant. The approached us giving us a calm look. "Hello there! I'm Knox and this is my beautiful wife Azalea. You must be our mayor correct?" The man said holding the sleeping child.
"Ah hello my names Jeff and this is my darling husband Husckis." Jeff said, his hand on my shoulder gripping a little tighter.
The man and the lady gave a awkward look, then a awkward smile. "Heh. Uh nice to meet you friend." The lady said.
"This is Echo, our newborn, and the reason we moved here." She said next. The man tilted the little child down a little looking proud at him.
I only smiled however my mask was hiding my mouth so it was just a weird quirk. I don't know how the others reacted, but I hope in a polite manor.
Soon we'd all move to the cafe listening to the story of how Knox and Azalea met. This life might be a little longer than I feared.
