A rabbit was drinking from a forest pond when he saw that a frog was on the other side. The frog spoke up and declared that he had already claimed the pond for his people. The rabbit, who had been searching all day for water, declared that he too had claimed the pond. As it was getting dark and being that there was no easy way to solve the problem, they decided that they would return the next day to figure things out. On the way back to his side of the forest, the rabbit decided that it would be easier to recruit some of the younger, lively rabbits to settle things for him, as he was far too busy with other things.
A day after the rabbit had sent his rabbits in, they had not returned. Getting worried, he decided he would travel to the pond to see how things were going. To his horror, the frog had also sent a group of his own to settle things. Surrounding the pond were corpses of young rabbits and frogs who were sent to settle the dispute. When the rabbit looked up, he saw that the frog had also come to check on things. The pond had turned red, clouded with the blood of their young. As the sun made a dash for the horizon, they stood without a solution, and the blood of a fallen generation soaking their feet.
