Screaming is all my ears hear, Painful screaming. The midwife trying to calm my mother down and not a single word from my father, not a single one. soon silence falls on the room im eavesdropping in on.
I hear a baby crying. My curiosity gets the best of me and i crack the door.

Seeing my exposed and exhausted mother. My father reading a book with no concern. A midwife cleaning what i assume is the baby. God its loud. The loud thing is handed to my mother. She holds it with such motherly care. "It's a girl." The midwife states. My mother looks content with it unlike my father.

He looks furious but hides it with a overjoyed smile. "Wonderful!" He says. My mother looks to me. Dead in my eyes and naturally i freeze. Remembering my father told me not to come in because no one would want want to see my eyes. " come here hon" my mother says in a husky, tierd tone with a sweet and soft under lay to it.
I head my mother's word and walk over to her side, my father being on the other side of the room. I look at the baby it's the smallest thing I'd ever seen. I instantly wanted to protect her from the world, from my father. She's so small needing love, care, and protection. I will give it to her. My mother puts her in front of me as if she was a prize.

I pick her up holding her with just as much, probably with more care than my mother." Her name is Aries" My mother tells me. Im probably beaming with joy. Forgetting about everything. Until i feel my father loom over me. Aries is plucked from my loving embrace in to my fathers careless, heartless, and unappreciative hold. He holds her like she's nothing but a lifeless porcelain doll found laying on the floor.
Anger boils up in the pit of my stomach. He has no right to hold her! How can he care so less about the people he says he loves? He looks at her and i smile like im happy. Like i have no illwill on my father. He hands Aires to my worried mother picking up on my sudden change in demeter. My father looks at his pocket watch and leaves with out a word.

My mother hands me my sister back and hold her with the same care i did before. My mother gives me a small sad smile trying to reacher me. "Sorry but can you take your sister a out and take care of her until i come for you?" My mother says in a sweet tone."yes mother." I say as i leave closeing the door behind me.
Mother has been teaching, and coaching me on how to take care of Aires. So i walk to her new room feeling confident in my abilities. I walk in and put her on the floor. I rap a old rag around the bottom half of her and then i pin it with a Bobby pin.

Being careful not to poke her. Then i slide her into a small dress my mother had sewn. I i cratle her in my arms and hum a song my mother hummed to me when I was little. " Good morning my fair lady, sorry to interrupt your enchanting humming but i wish to make my presence known.
I look behind me to see the same charmingly scruffy boy I've been practically inseparable from for years." Hello Pre Davis as charming as you are isn't alitte early to be sneaking through windows?" I say smugly and keeping the formal speech going. "It is never too early nor to late to lay thy eyes upon thee." He says as he sits down on the window seal. " nice one." I say keeping the laugh down. " who is that" he slides off the window and walks to me to take a better look.

"Aires Miller my new sister." I say stating the obvious. "Adorable" he says as he looks at her. "Hada" my mother calls from down stairs. I push pre to the window and he slips through and down the house. I walk out to meet my mother on the stairs.
