It's been months since she agreed to his terms. She knew about her impending doom, her disastrous heartbreak. Yet she didn't have the heart to pull herself out of the mess she created. She's supposed to meet him in 3 hours and here she is, procrastinating her routine just to ease her nerves. She took the hardest decision last night, to break everything off with him.
Dragging herself out of bed she took a long shower in order to prepare herself for the worst day of her life. Sending a quick text to him to see whether their meeting is still on or not she waited for the reply. Unfortunately of fortunately, the reply came almost instantly, the text said, Yes baby. our meeting is still on!, followed by 4 kissy emojis. Looking at the message she couldn't help but smile and feel the butterflies in her stomach. SIghing deeply she realised how badly she has fallen for him. Putting up her iron claded armour she thought with determination that it is going to be the last day of their fling. It was becoming too much for her to handle.
On the way to their meeting place, a small nice cafe, her eyes were filled with unshed tears. She just couldn't think how to break it off, when she knew the moment she sees him all she would want to do would be hug him like her life depended on it. She reached their cafe, entering it she immediately spotted him. She could feel his presence in her bones. Looking at her with happiness in his eyes, and a heart melting smile, there he is. The reason for all her pain and heartache. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath then marched towards the table. He stood up and opened his arms to welcome her. Out of habit she walked into his waiting arms. Relishing the feeling she wanted to etch this particular memory in her heart forever. Finally after an eternity she looked up and said, I can't do this. Just at the same time he too said something entirely different, Be my girlfriend love?
Both looked at each other with wide eyes, unable to form cohesive thoughts. That moment she did what she wanted to do the moment she entered the cafe, she held his collar pulled him down for a searing kiss, earning whistles from the people present in the cafe. After breaking from the kiss, they looked at each others eyes with something very similar to love. They knew that they are in for the next phase of their story, the unpredictable and more beautiful part that is filled with uncertainties, but they knew they would overcome everything, TOGETHER.
