I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant

Jibeom has been feeling weird all day. No matter what he does, it feels like his body can't agree with him or something. His stomach hurts and his waist is sore. Jaehyun has been massaging his whole body since last night, but it doesn't help much. Jibeom has been trying to relieve the pain in his back by walking all around the house. He read somewhere that walking is an easy way to relieve back pain. He actually feels like the pain keeps on coming more regularly and more intensely.

Jibeom has been feeling sluggish for some months. He even experienced some indigestion issues for a while now, like there is some gas going around his stomach. He just chalked it up for not exercising enough, because strangely all he wants to do is sleep. The fact that he has been working from home since around a year ago doesn't help either. Sometimes he wonders how the hell working from home can make you far more tired than working from the office.

Jaehyun has been pestering Jibeom to go see a doctor but he always brushes it off. Apart from feeling tired all the time and developing a bit of a belly, he feels great. His skin and hair are glowing, his appetite has increased, he even put on some weight. Jaehyun can't really argue because Jibeom practically looks glowing and healthy. Until today happens and Jibeom wants to cry.

All Jibeom wants to do is sleeping his pain away. But today is Jaehyun and Jibeom's turn to host their regular lunch date with their best friends, Youngtaek and Joochan. Jaehyun and Jibeom have been preparing this lunch date since yesterday and all was great until Jibeom start to experience stomach cramps at night. Jaehyun has been offering to cancel the lunch date but Jibeom assured Jaehyun that he was fine. Well he is actually fine. The pain comes and goes and it still feels bearable. Only until after lunch, apparently.

The four of them had their lunch and chatted and generally had a great time. Jibeom would grimaced and massaged his back when the pain came and it didn't escape Youngtaek's eyes. Joochan and Jaehyun decide to play some darts in the living room and Jibeom tells his husband and their friend that he will walk around the house to digest his food better. After circling his house for two rounds, Jibeom going back to the living room just to have Youngtaek approaching him worriedly.

"Jibeom, are you okay? You kept on making a pained expression since lunch."

"I don't know, Youngtaek-ah. Honestly, I have been experiencing stomach pain since last night. My stomach will suddenly cramps, but then the cramps will go after a short while. But I feel like the pain has been coming more frequently and more painful for some time now." Jibeom answers while rubbing his stomach.

Youngtaek frowns hearing Jibeom's explanation.

"Oh? Maybe it's because of my job, but it sure sounds like you are experiencing some contraction haha..." Yes, even though he is still young, Youngtaek is a professional midwife.

"Oh here comes another one!" Jibeom grasps Youngtaek's shoulder by both of his hands and prepare to endure another pain. The pain feels the most intense thus far, and Jibeom can't help but scream. Jaehyun and Joochan automatically avert their attention to where Jibeom and Youngtaek stand.

Suddenly there is water splashing in between Jibeom's legs. Youngtaek and Jibeom look at the puddle of water under Jibeom and then look at each other.

"And that sure looks like water breaking," Youngtaek whispers.

"What?? Oh it hurtssss, nggghhhhh..." Jibeom grimaces and does what his body tells him to.

"What?? Jibeom, now you sound like you are pushing! I have to take a look to know what is going on!" Youngtaek starts to feel frantic.

"Pushing? Pushing what? I don't know what is going on, I feel like my body is taking control of me! Oh nngghhhhhh..."

"Oh My God, Jibeom, stop pushing! I have to check on you first! Joochan, please help me bring Jibeom to lay down! Jaehyun, please get a blanket and something to spread on the floor so Jibeom can lay down!" Youngtaek yells to his friends.
