When All Might invited Midoriya to attend the I-Expo, he told him that he was allowed to bring one other guess. So he decided to invite Tomomi.
She needed to break from the city, especially after everything she has been through before and her fight with Bakugou took a giant toll on the couple. So it was the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy the convention.
What she thought was a chance to get away from him for the time being turned out to be all for naught when the two end up running into to him and other students of their class on the remote island, much to her dismay but she decided to not let it ruin her vacation and good time.
But all of that goes up in flames when villains attack the island by taking over the security system and holding the entire convention hostage.
Now, despite how she feels, Tomomi and Midoriya has to work together with Melissa, a girl who invited them, and their friends to keep the civilians safe and stop the villains from destroying the island.
