3:10 P.M

Tanjirou's POV

"Yeah..." I said, completely out of my head while staring at her. Kanao is talking to me and drinking the ramune I bought for her, also eating some coconut biscuits I bought...

'She really is cute when smiling, just like what Aoi-san said...' "T-Tanjirou-sama, you've been staring at me for too long... Is there something on my face?" she said, that snapped me out of my stare to her, I shook my head and smiled at her,

"Not that much there, it's just that, Kanao really looks cute when smiling, it's like what Aoi-san said." I said, as I wipe the sugar off the edge of her lips. When I look at her again, I saw her closing her eyes and still looking up at me, that made me confuse. I insisted to snap her out of her stance,

"Ehmm... Kanao, you okay?" When I asked that, she opened one of her eye taking a peek at me, I smiled at her, then I saw her cheeks and ears started to tint slowly in red, she quickly looked down, 'What's with the sudden action?' "T-Thank you, Tanjirou-sama... U-Uh... So it's actually Aoi you asked for..."

10:30 P.M

I can't sleep.

"Whyyyyyy, why can't I sleeeeeep??? It's already ten thirty in the evening Tanjirouuuuu." I said, only talking to the air. The lights are already off, and Kanao is in her break now... Her smile is still stuck in my head, she looks perfect with it.

'I wish I can see it tomorrow too, and the day after tomorrow or until I leave here... I just hope the time slows down when I'm with her...' I thought, fantasizing about it...

I just realize what I've thought of... I felt my whole face heated, "She's... too... cute that... I'm thinking too much of her smile...!" I yelled, burying myself deeper to the pillow, 'I'm literally acting like a teenager right now, getting crazy about a girl's smile.'

"But this is normal because Kanao rarely smiles in front of me, no changes for that... Hm... Why did Inosuke and Aoi-san even asked me if I like Kanao, now maybe I'll be starting to like her, as a woman..."

"Ahh! What are you saying Tanjirou! Don't act like you're a teenager in love! But... This is the first time I felt like this, being in love... Is it really love... Well maybe just a crush, yeah a crush. I'm having a crush on Kanao, and it's fine." I said, continuing to talk to myself, gradually accepting it and blushing, I take a look at the time and it's almost eleven P.M, 'I should go to sleep, I might be talking to a ghost here.'

I closed my eyes to tried to sleep, but after what felt like ten minutes, the tiredness still haven't struck me... I sighed, sitting up, and walk on the way to the small kitchen to drink some water.

I walk my way to the terrace with potato chips in hand, 'If I cant sleep then I'll just eat.' On the way, I remembered the time just lately that me and Kanao are talking in the sofa... Another thought has cross my mind, that made me blush a bit...

'Kanao, why were you looking up at me while closing your eyes...! I'm so curious... Am I too dense to get that action of yours...?'

'I'm hanging out with the boys tomorrow, I should go to sleep later..'

Kanao's POV

"Why did you tell him that I'm cute whenever I'm drinking a ramune, Aoi...?!" I'm talking to my sister, Aoi, through call, and I'm still flustered about what Tanjirou-sama told me lately, it's really... embarrassing... I even thought that he was going to kiss me when he wiped the edge of my lips..! 'I'll never tell that to Aoi.'
