Chapter 12: Over The Top Bickering!

It was 10 in the morning, a few hours have passed that those culprits were arrested by the Police and everything had calmed down. Yes, everything fell back in place.

Now, as decided the next thing that was left was Eric and Mahima's wedding but, there was a slight change in the plan.

Yes, considering they were about to get married, Mahima wondered why Eric's parents hadn't arrived yet. She definitely heard a lot of stories about his parents and his sister from him. And the fun family that they were, it was so strange that they hadn't arrived yet.

When asked, Eric simply shrugged off his shoulders and replied in a monotonous tone that they weren't informed about their marriage in the first place. Of course to say he was nearly roasted to death by her one stern glare would be just nothing.

Yes, she could get scary when needed. And now was obviously the time to knock some sense in this man.

Well, it was true. They are his parents, his family and they had every right to witness their son's marriage. When he tried to interrupt her, she simply stated that his parents loved him a lot and have always believed in him. It would be selfish of him to keep them in the dark. He was not only snatching away a wonderful moment from his parents but would also end up regretting it in future.

It was not that he didn't want them to inform them, it was just he wanted to surprise them taking his wife with him directly to Canada.

Obviously Mahima was totally against it.

When he told her that it would be difficult for them to reach India by evening, she suggested they could very well postpone their wedding. Yes, she was adamant that she would get married to Eric in front of his parents.

And why not?

She had no one from her family except for Ankit and Kirti. For sure Kulkarni kaka was more than happy to perform the marriage rituals as bride's father, she still wanted his family to be present. Her case was different, but Eric's parents loved him. Getting married without their blessings was not something she was looking for.

To say Eric was touched by her sweet gesture would be such an understatement. And why not? Not only this girl loved him to bits but also cared about his family and their feelings. What more could he wish for?

So, here they were trying to break the most sensational news about his marriage to his family.

"Where are you going?" He asked holding her wrist when she tried to move away.

"You talk, I go!" She replied softly lowering her gaze while he pulled her towards him saying, "Nothing doing! You are not going anywhere. You are going to sit right here with me."

Now how could she say 'no' to him?

Giving into his subtle demand, she sat next to him with a sweet smile playing on her face while he dropped a loving kiss on top of her head and dialled his father's number.

Rowan was busy reading an article about food technology on his phone while Ruby was looking at beautiful girls of the top most businessmen in this world. Yes, she was doing her homework before Eric arrived.

Even though she liked Mia, she wanted to keep the options open because knowing her son and his thoughts about 'marriage'; she knew she is going to see hard time convincing him.

Of course, she very cleverly put that responsibility on Rowan's head, but still she wanted to do her part. She just wanted her son to get married and settled in life. And what is wrong in that?
