Interview with the Author

A/N: The following is an interview with Lori Ellis (Me!), author of Prettiest Vampire. The questions were posed by my good friend @AndreaPorcelainDoll, and are in fact the questions she regularly uses to interview characters and authors in her Wattpad novel, “Interview Me, Baby”.

AndreaPorcelainDoll: Good evening, and welcome back for round two of the Prettiest Vampire interviews. Tonight I’ll be talking with Lori Ellis, the brilliant mind behind the novel. (Turns to Lori) So Lori, you are lookin’ hot, Baby Girl! I expected you to show up in jeans, or possibly even the ‘interview skirt’, but look at you!

Lori Ellis: Haha, thanks Doll! I figured I had a lot to live down after I saw your interview of Lilian. Number one myth dispelled, I do own a dress! It definitely could have been worse though.

AndreaPorcelainDoll: Oh? How is that?

Lori: Well, they only see me when I write, and I usually write in my PJs.

AndreaPorcelainDoll: Haha! Fuzzy slippers?

Lori: Mousies o^_^o

AndreaPorcelainDoll: Okay, everyone get your cameras ready for mental pictures! So my first question: Booth, table, or bar?

Lori: Uhhhhh, bar!

AndreaPorcelainDoll: A girl after my own heart! Legs like ours should never be hidden under a table. (They approach the bar and sit)

Bartender: What can I get you ladies this evening?

AndreaPorcelainDoll: I thought I was asking the questions here?

Lori: (Giggles) I’ll have a glass of red wine. Merlot, please.

AndreaPorcelainDoll: I think I’d like Sex on the Beach tonight.

Bartender: I can do that. (leaves)

AndreaPorcelainDoll: Well Lori, I think we’ve got most of a page written and I haven’t actually asked a question yet. So question number one: How did you become a Wattpadder?

Lori: I read about it in the Business section of the paper.

AndreaPorcelainDoll: Seriously?

Lori: Haha! I know, right? I was at my parents and my Dad showed me this article about successful internet start-ups, and most of it was all about Wattpad. He said if I was going to spend all my time writing stories, then at least somebody should get the chance to read them.

AndreaPorcelainDoll: Okay, I’m pretty sure that’s a first! So second question…

Bartender: Your drinks, ladies. One glass of Merlot, and you wanted to have Sex on the Beach.

Lori: (Looking in purse) I’ll get this.

Bartender: Already taken care of (points at two men at end of bar).

Lori: (Putting away purse, and noticing AndreaPorcelainDoll never even touched hers) You were expecting that weren’t you? Has this happened to you before?

AndreaPorcelainDoll: All the time, Baby Girl, all the time! Cheers… So second question, what story genre do you enjoy the most?

Lori: Oh gosh, I love fantasy. Or adventure. Something suspenseful that I can really get lost in. Or horror, but only if it has a really strong plot. I love a story with humor, especially if it can really make me laugh out loud. Sometimes I read romance. Oh! Science fiction can be very cool.
