HAN-JIN SAT WITH HIS HEAD ON GI-HUN'S SHOULDER, WATCHING THE LIGHT REFLECT OFF THE FLOOR.
They were all back in the large room with the beds. Well, everyone who was alive were. "Sang-woo. You helped me. Thank you." Gi-hun spoke, the man nodding as Gi-hun rearranged his arm around Han-jin's shoulder. "And you did too. You saved my life out there." Gi-hun turned to the man who saved his life, Han-jin looking to him. "Thank you." He whispered, Gi-hun rubbing the boy's shoulder as the random man nodded. "You are alive. That is what matters." The man smiled, Han-jin flinching when the doors opened. Gi-hun urged the boy up as more pink men walked through except this time, they had guns each. "You all made it through the first game. Congratulations." The square man let out, Gi-hun looking down to the boy.
"You will be moving on. I will now announce the results of the first game." Everyone watched as the large Tv screen decreased quickly from 456, Han-jin's heart dropping as it went down in hundreds. Two hundred and fifty five, to be exact. "Out of 456 players, 255 were eliminated, and 201 players successfully completed the first game." The man announced, a woman getting on her knees. "Mister, please! I'll pay what I owe. I'll pay all of it! Please, sir!" The woman sobbed, Han-jin looking to her. "Oh! So young, I need to register, and I still need to name my child, sir." The woman cried, multiple people starting to join her begging until there was a crying mess on the floor. "There seems to be a misunderstanding. We are not trying to hurt you or collect your debts." The man announced, Han-jin tilting his head.
"Let me remind you that we're here to give you a chance." The man continued, another shouting in anger. "A chance! We play some kids games. And you shoot us. You want me to choose that? That's some chance." The man spat, another man tuning in. "We may be in debt, sir... but that doesn't justify killing us all!" The man cried, the squared man sighing. "This is just a game." He let out, Han-jin ripping himself from Gi-hun's arm. His trauma quickly turned into anger. 255 people died out there and these bozos still call it a game?! Han-jin was not going to let these psychopaths see him falter at their little 'game'. "Killing all those people out there was a game to you?!" He yelled, people flinching. "They were simply eliminated for breaking the rules of the game. If you just follow the rules, you can leave this place safely with the prize money we promised."
"Just keep your damn money. I don't care! Just let me go home. That's all I want." Another man cried out, the majority of the room agreeing with him. "Let us go." Chorused through the room as the masked square didn't seem to care. "Consent form clause one. A player is not allowed to stop playing." He shrugged lightly, the same man calling out again. "Come on! You think you'll get away with this, huh? The police will come. They'll bust in here any minute now. They'll be here since we all disappeared." The man declared, people agreeing. "Yeah. And I bet they have everyone's phones tracked here already. Look at all your hostages. You're doomed if you don't let us go!" The man yelled, everyone agreeing before the masked man shot the ceiling and everyone immediately shut themselves up. Gi-hun dragged Han-jin to the floor as the other masked men pointed their guns at the group.
