Who I Am

2 1 1

I am from the state of anxiety and depression,

I am from the jokes and humour that surrounded me throughout my childhood,

I am from the green door I saw every Wednesday and on the other side,

I am from the old classic music that always played on the radio on the way home from my father's house,

I am from Ireland to Scotland to UK to God knows where,

I am from my short mother and father with a truly short family,

I am from the pickup line You can call me Al and Paul Simon,

I am from my fantasy world that I call home,

I am from the strings of my guitar

And the keys of my piano that produce a soft sound when I press my fingers down on them,

I am from the therapy sessions that did not help me whatsoever,

I am from the tiny rock collection I have on my bookcase and the random stacks of books around my room,

I am from the large pile of records that cannot be used since I do not have a record player,

I am from obsessing with old and cool things,

I am from being able to write remarkable stories but no poems,

I am from a family who does not know how to say proper goodbyes...
