Camney: Broken Down (Part Two)

A few days later, Rick's uncle had died.

Courtney and Beth went to his trial to try and get him out of this, but he ended up being sent to jail for ten years.

Afterwards Courtney had cried for days. She knew this had to end, or she'd end up losing everyone. Eclipso was trying to take her friends away from her, and soon maybe her family. Courtney swore to herself she would end this, even if it cost her life.

She began writing a letter for Cameron in case she died. She made it to explain everything so that no one else had to.

On the envelope she wrote; Read this if I'm about to die

Then she began writing the letter.

Dear Cameron

I am very sorry that I didn't tell you this sooner, but it might be to late and I want to make sure you know the truth.

My step brother accidentally killed your father. He hit him with a car on accident. But please don't hurt Mike for it.

I am stargirl, I'm part of the JSA. And it might be dying. Yolanda was wildcat, and she quit. Rick was hourman, and he went to jail. When I'm writing this, nothing has happened to Beth, but she's doctor midnite. If your reading this that means I'm either dead or dying. I love you and nothing will ever change that. You are so precious to me, you never gave up on me when everyone else did, you didn't doubt me when I was fighting, and hopefully, you don't hate me for not saving your father.

Your father was Icicle. He was part of the ISA. They are the bad guys. And I have reason to believe you may have inherited his powers.

Please ask someone in my family if you wanna know more.

I just want you to know, you are the best person I've ever met and I love you so much.

Please don't hate my family, but if you hate me I understand. Just please promise me you'll stay safe even when I can't protect you.

It was amazing knowing you and I'm sad that it's over. Please be able to move on with your life and don't let my death ruin you.

Please stay the happy, amazing boy you already are.

She put the letter in the envelope and sealed it.

Then she prepared herself for fight. She was going to face eclipso alone.

She went to Cameron's house and gave the letter to his grandparents. "If I die, or if I'm near death, please give this to Cameron. It's important" Courtney said.

Cameron's grandmother was skeptical, but agreed.

The day Courtney was going to face eclipso, Cameron walked in her house.

Courtney was in her room, when she heard her mother scream.

There was screaming and crying everywhere.

She rushed downstairs to see Cameron, trying to kill Mike.

Courtney fought Cameron until she was injured.

She fell to the ground, gasping for air.

She looked at Cameron's eyes as a purple glow shown in them.

"Your not Cameron... your eclipso" she said faintly. Then she fainted.

Cameron held out a sharp piece of ice, but the cosmic staff shot him to the ground.

Cameron then bulleted up. When he saw Courtney on the ground, he crawled over to her.

He held her in his arms as he sobbed. "What have I done??" He said.

"WHAT HAVE I DONE?!!!!" He screamed as the whole house turned to ice.

Courtney family, injured, walked into the room.

Cameron sobbed on Courtney as her family stared.

"I'm a terrible person... I'm so sorry court..." he said sobbing.

Cameron thought to himself. It was just like the nightmare he had weeks ago.

Then his grandparents walked in.

"Cameron, a few days ago Courtney gave us this to give to you if something happened to her" his grandmother said, handing him the envelope.

He read it and started crying. "Courtney please don't die... what would I ever do if I lost you" he said while sobbing.

He waited for days. He never left the hospital. He stayed by Courtney's side the whole time. He couldn't leave her for two seconds.

Then her eyes fluttered open. "Cameron?" She whispered faintly.

"Courtney?! Your okay!!" He said while crying happily.

He called for the doctor as he held Courtney's hand.

"She's awake! She's finally awake!" He said happily.

The doctor checked her, and a few minutes they were done.

"She is doing much better now. In two days she is allowed back home" they said.

Cameron thanked the doctor and went back to Courtney.

"I read your letter. It meant a lot to me, thank you for telling me the truth. And I'm not mad at you" he said. Courtney looked at him.

"I'm glad" she said smiling.

A few weeks later, Cameron had officially joined the JSA.

"What is our next move?" Cameron asked.

"I don't know cam, but we'll figure it out" she replied.
