Laney's POV
I help Amy carry her bags into my room, where I had set up an entirely new bed for her. I had a huge room, so she got half, I got half.
"Thanks again for letting me stay here!" Amy chirps happily as she behind unpacking. "Anytime, Cuz'! Uncle's never been the nicest guy. Completely understandable you'd wanna leave!" I reply.
"Yeah..." She puts away her clothes, and takes a picture frame off the dresser. "... Hey, Lan. You and Corey are close, aren't you?" She smiles. I look at the picture from begin her shoulder. It was one of the most recent photos I'd taken of us. Me and Corey doing a goofy selfie at our biggest gig so far. It was great!
"Yeah. We've been friends almost forever." I reply and sigh happily as I flop back on my bed. "Ooo~" Amy giggles.
"What?" I ask, confused, hugging a black heart pillow.
"Somebody's gotta crush~" she sings happily. I blush and glare at her. "Hey! Remember who's letting you live here!" I hiss.
"I'm just stating the facts!" Any replies with a shrug, and finished unpacking. She tosses me a familiar black and pink unicorn plushie, with a familiar scent to it.
"Wh- Mr Cocoa?" I stare as I look the unicorn over. "I... I lost this when Auntie married Uncle..." I mutter is disbelief.
"Yeeeeah... About that..." Amy bites her lip. "Uncle took it from your room when you were real young... And he gave it to me as a gift a few years ago. I've been meaning to return it, since I know you loved Cocoa a lot." She replies.
I smile and hug the black unicorn. "Thank you so much, Ames!" I squeal and tackle hug my cousin. She laughs and shoves me off. "Anytime! So... Wanna completely screw up each other's hair and makeup for fun like we did as little kids?" She asks super fast.
I grin and take her into my makeup closet. Her jaw drops when she sees all the different make up I don't ever really use. "I got some makeup to spare and share." I giggle.
"Makeup, hair, snacks and a movie. Tonight." Amy demands. "For now... we sleep so we can stay up all night watching cute guys in movies."
I smile and nod. "Sounds great. I'll pitch up the blankets so it's super dark." I grin and we go back to our beds.
"Goodnight!" Amy chirps.
"See you in 3 hours!" I reply and we fall asleep almost instantly.
Kinda short, but kinda cute how they're bonding again. ❤️
