Kagami groaned as he walked to the gym after school.
"Yo, Kagami!" called Koganei and jogged over to him with Mitobe. "Going to practice?"
"Yeah..." groaned Kagami and turned towards them.
"Jesus!" screamed Koganei and jumped behind Mitobe. "What happened to you?"
"Heh...?" said Kagami glaring slightly at him.
Mitobe did some movements and Koganei nodded.
"Did you sleep anything at all lately?" translated Koganei.
"A few hours, maybe" said Kagami with a sigh and scratched his neck.
Mitobe made some movements again and Koganei jumped.
"We need to go or coach will kill us!" yelled Koganei and grabbed their arms and ran to the gym.
"You're finally here" said Hyuuga and turned towards them.
"Sorry!" yelped Koganei.
"It was my fault" said Kagami.
"Oh, reall-" said Hyuuga turning to him. "Kagami, what happened to you!"
"Do I really look that bad?" asked Kagami, eyebrow twitching.
"He slept only a few hours" explained Koganei.
"Oh?" said Riko slowly stepping towards him. "Is this because of your new night job?"
"Well... yeah, but..." said Kagami.
"Then you really should quit, you know" sighed Izuki. "You're a high school student. You need to have your sleep for studies"
"I know, but... I can't" said Kagami.
"And why exactly is that?" asked Riko and Kagami sighed.
"When I first got the job I agreed to agree with whatever they said about the job..." started Kagami. "And when I arrived I found notes explaining what to do, but there was also a note saying that I was not allowed to quit or demand anything until a work week has passed..."
"What?" said Hyuuga raising an eyebrow. "What the hell is that about?"
"I can live that..." said Kagami. "But that wasn't exactly the weirdest part"
"Eh?" said Fukuda.
"What exactly can go weird as a night guard at a children's basketball gym?" asked Kawahara.
"Yeah?" nodded Furihata.
"Well..." said Kagami. "You... wouldn't believe me"
"Just say it Kagami" huffed Riko. "Or I will crab lock your legs"
"Geez, coach! Alright!" said Kagami and huffed. "One of the animatronics, the yellow one called Kise, activated at night and challenged me to a one-on-one and warned me that the others would also come"
"..." the Seirin team was quiet and just stared at him.
"Pfft" came as Koganei tried to hold his laughter.
"You... You sure you weren't dreaming?" asked Izuki trying to hold in his laughter.
The three first years leaned onto eachother holding in their laughter.
"Oi! What's so funny! It's true. I wasn't sleeping!" barked Kagami. "Well, I did fall asleep at one point... But the sound of him dribbeling the basketball woke me up!"
"Kise you said?" asked Riko. "I can't remember there being a yellow one called Kise at Kuroko's"
"He's probably new" huffed Kagami. "That Kuroko and Haizaki, was it, weren't there from what I could see"
