Aether POV

"But well of course we only have the highest quality of crystals here." the merchant told us.

I looked at the ores on display then at Paimon seeing her do the same.

"I don't know Aether, this dude seems kinda sketchy." She told me.

"We can't complete the commission without the crystals and this is the only place that claims to sell them." I shook my head, tired from running around almost all day looking for some crystals.

"How do we know they're not fake?" she whispers.

"If I may be of assistance." a deep voice comes from behind us.

"Mr Zhongli! Just the right person to ask about rocks! If you could please help us tell if these crystals are real it would be a life saver." Paimon goes on to ask the god for help.

He brings his hand to his chin thinking for a few seconds and looks at the crystals.

"The gentleman has quite the variety of crystals on display. Which ones exactly are you looking to buy traveller?"

I point to the ones needed.

"I see. A commission I presume. Well, you are in luck as those-"

"GEGE!" (brother in Chinese)

I watch as a blurry figure throws themselves at Zhongli.

Reader POV

I make my way into the busy streets of Liyue harbor. Everything felt so familiar yet so different. My eyes sparkle at all the new shops and buildings I haven't seen before. So much has changed and I can't wait to make myself familiar with my beloved city again.

I make my way further through the streets and people, stopping at anything that caught my eye, which was mostly jewellery or crystals or anything shiny really, but still keeping an eye out for my brother. I hope he didn't change his human form.

As I was about to approach the third jewellery merchant I came across, I froze in my tracks sensing a very familiar presence. Without another moment hesitation I ran towards it, not too far ahead, there he stood. He hasn't seen or sensed me yet. Well he wouldn't really expect me to come running at him after over a thousand years all of a sudden. As I got close enough, I jumped on the unsuspecting man.

"GEGE!" I yelled happily, wrapping my arms around his neck. He stumbled backwards a few steps from the impact.

"Y/n...?" I heard his deep voice ask hesitantly.

I pushed myself away from him slightly so he could see my(very beautiful cough cough) face. I grinned at him.

"The one and only you old dragon. What? Can't remember your own sister, Morax?"

He quickly wrapped his arms around me tightly, pulling me into him. I missed this. And I guess he did too.

"Paimon thinks we're interrupting something right now. And wait a second! Did she just say sister?! " a high pitched voice yelled.

I looked over seeing a floating fairy and a blonde male. I pulled away from my brother to introduce myself.

"Hi there! I'm Y/n, and yes, I'm this old man's younger sister." I told them grinning. Morax looks at me slightly offended.

"Don't call me old." he proceeds to lean closer to my ear and whisper "It's Zhongli now. I'll explain later." I nod, confused, but knowing he probably had a good reason for the change in name.

"Wait so, if your Mr Zhongli's sister does that make you... a god?" she said the last part quietly. I once again nod my head in confirmation.

"Y/n, these two are Aether and his companion, Paimon." Zhongli introduced the two. "Now where were we."

I look behind the blonde male noticing the ores on display. I studied them for a few moments, not very interested in them.

"So are they real?" the man I know now as Aether asks.

"They are-"

"They're not the best" I interrupt my brother "But they're the best you'll find in Liyue. These crystals specifically aren't really dominant here."

The blonde and fairy both give me strange looks before glancing at Zhongli. I guess they don't really trust my judgement if we just met. My brother clears his throat.

"She's right. You can trust her on this. She has always liked shiny stones and gems and is as knowledgeable as me on them." he informs the duo.

"Thanks" Aether gives me a warm smile and turns to the merchant to pay for what he came.

I look up at my brother "Go for a walk?" I ask him to which he agrees, offering his elbow for me to take.
