"(Name), congratulations on your ninth birthday!"

"It isn't my birthday, but thanks."

Your birthday was actually on January 1st, and you'd turned nine several months ago. Of course, no one wanted to celebrate your birthday then, so they moved your official birthday to July.

You had told them just to move it to January second or third, but they stated, and I quote, "we cannot have our daughter's birthday month be cold like her personality."

"This is from me," Your father said, handing you a box. "Oh, a new dress. It's nice." You answer. Your mother handed you a stack of books that read things like "manners for young ladies".

"This is from me," Your mother said, smiling. "Yeah, I figured. Are you making fun of me?" Your mother bonked you on the head with her fan. "See, this is exactly why you need them."

"Mhmm. Thanks." Your younger brother gave you a bright smile, handing you a bouquet of flowers. "These are from me, Nee-San!" He said brightly.

"Ah, thanks. I like it."

They'd known you long enough to know this counts as enthusiasm.

In the game, Keith Claes strayed down the lonely and dangerous path of the playboy, but you constantly dote on him and he's become quite the spoiled kid.

Death flag: successfully avoided!

"Yeah, pretty sure I explicitly told you not to show up today, but thanks."

"It's an honor that you like them." Gerald said, smiling at you. When you turned to inspect your latest work, a red flower your brother planted that you'd been painting, Gerald heaved a sigh.

"I actually wanted to get her a necklace, though..." he thought, thinking back to what you'd said when he presented you with the idea.
