"Marty & Martha"

               

Plot- The best actors are currently putting on the Second Act to a brand new play "Marty & Martha". 

"Marty & Martha" is about two Italian citizens finding each other and falling in love only to find that they no longer love each other, as their friends and family try to bring them back together. In reality, the actors are the absolute worst ever. They continuously drop lines, improvise terribly, break the fourth wall, and argue with each other.

Setting- Theatre stage for "Reality", run down Italian restaurant for "Marty & Martha".

(The curtain opens to the actors talking amongst themselves, in Reality.)

Carl- (To the actors) Listen up people! You did amazing the first act, but let's show more love and hate and such! Okay? You all have 5 minutes, my fantastic actors!

Christian- (To Anthony) I can't believe the size of the audience!

Anthony- I know! It's the largest we've had in years! I'm still pissed that Kylie dropped a lot of her lines! She's not even a major character! She's got like four lines! I don't know how she got into the show!

Christian- She probably slept with the producer, knowing her...

Anthony- Yeah, that's how Gabi got in.

Christian- (Angry) Woah man! Don't talk about my girl like that!

Anthony- Dude, but still. She was with over 20 guys in like less than two weeks.

Christian- She's not like that anymore!

Angella- (To Joey and Gabi) I can't believe that I have to be in love with Anthony! I hate this play! I hate it! He went and cheated on me, and later we both audition for the same play and end up being lovers! Just my luck!

Joey- He's a complete jerk! I hate that guy! I want to go and punch him in his face, but I never have a chance!

Gabi- Angella just ignore it. Remember you're the better actress!

Angella- He dropped so many of his lines and what was up with that improv scene? That was horrible!

Joey- (Quoting Christian as Marty) 'And your eyes twinkle like the, the, uhhh... The lights of Verona's water puddles...'

(Gabi, Angella, and Joey laugh.)

Kylie- (To Kayla) That was amazing Kayla! I am so nervous for the next act though!

Kayla- Well don't be, Kylie! You did amazing!

Kylie- Do you think anybody noticed that I dropped one line?

Angella- (To Kylie) Hunny, we all did! And it wasn't one, it was all!

(They all laugh except for Kayla, and Kylie.)

Kayla- (To Kylie) Don't listen to her, she's just jealous!

Angella- (To Kayla) Jealous?! Me?! Why would I be jealous of two mediocre actresses that don't even deserve to be here?! The only way you two got in was by hooking up with Carl!

Kayla- (To Angella) Shut up you tramp!

Gabi- Don't talk to my friend like that! You're just mad because she got the lead and you got nothing!

Kayla- I'll have you know that Mother Maggie is much more important than stupid Theresa!

Gabi- Theresa is the best friend of Martha! She is way more important than Maggie!

(They start to verbally fight.)

Carl- Stop fighting! The show is starting up! Get into position! Let's go people!
