The smell of alcohol and cigarettes are lingering in the air as Koko entered the Devil Hours Bar. It made Koko's nose scrunch in disgust.
Earlier that day, he had received a text message from Bonten's number two, asking everyone to go to the bar.
"Hey losers, I got some news. Be sure to be present in Devil Hours Bar later at 11pm."
- Sanzu Haruchiyo"Tch, what does this idiot gonna tell us?" Koko scoffed as he made his way towards the VIP room, specifically reserved for Bonten members only.
"Hey Koko! You finally arrived." Sanzu said as he stood up from his place, opening his arms to welcome the man.
"Don't touch me." Koko said and shaked off Sanzu's open arms.
The pinknette pouted at him, trying to make Koko feel bad about what he just did.
"Stop being a big baby. It's her fault for treating you like one." Rindou spat at the pink haired man, amusement is in his eyes.
Rindou wonders how a girl whom Sanzu claims to be his anchor, make some drastic changes to their psycho number two.
"How is she, Sanzu?" Mikey asked.
"She's doing great, she finally opened her own cafe. She even asked me to tell you guys to visit her shop some time." Sanzu replied, admiration laced in his voice.
"We'll definitely visit her, right Rindou?" Ran said with his usual half lidded eyes.
"Still can't believe that after what she's been through, she still sticks with you." Kakucho teased the pinknette.
"Hey! I've been living like shit when I thought she's dead." Sanzu retorted back.
"Yeah, I thought you're already going crazy as you kept on talking on her pictures." Koko snorted at the man, trying to suppress his chuckles.
"Maybe one day, you'll understand what I had felt when you lose someone who's dear to you. Someone who made you feel all sort of things you thought you aren't capable of feeling.". Sanzu said as he stared at Koko's eyes.
"Yeah well, maybe never. I already lost her." Koko answered back.
"So, what is the reason my stupid brother called us all here?" Takeomi asked Sanzu. Trying to break the tension that is building up in the air.
"Well, I just wanted to announce that I am already engaged with my anchor." Sanzu said, grinning from ear to ear.
Everyone in the room fell silent. Not believing the news that the pinknette broke out to them.
"Wow. No congratulations?" Sanzu asked whilst looking at everyone in the room, searching for a single soul who will congratulate him.
"I'll call her and ask if her decision's final." Rindou said, fishing his phone out of his pocket.
"Did you threatened her just to say yes?" Koko asked.
"Are you sure that you're worthy of this engagement?" Takeomi teased his brother.
The pinknette sulked with the constant teasing of his friends. He did not expect this kind of questions be thrown at him when he decided to announce his engagement with his one and only anchor.
"Y'all such dick heads." Sanzu huffed his annoyance.
Everyone in the room laughed at his reaction, they did not expect this side of him. After all, they've known him to be the killing machine of Bonten.
"Wow, she really did changed you a lot." Ran said, still laughing at his outburst.
"Love lets you do all the foolish things you didn't expect you could do." Sanzu stated.
"So when's the wedding?" Mikey asked, chomping down his dorayaki.
"Few months from now. We're already working on the details."
"I'll buy her wedding dress. It's my compensation gift to her. Taking care of a big baby like you is really a handful." Koko said as he sipped his whiskey.
"Hey! I'm not a big baby. I'm her baby!" Sanzu grumpily answered back.
The room is now filled with laughs and occasional bickering from the men.
Koko stood up from his seat and decided to get some fresh air outside.
As he walked down the halls of the bar filled with drunk people making out, he saw someone who caught his attention. It is a (h/c) waitress who wore the usual uniform in the bar.
You were currently serving a table of drunk geezers and they are harassing you. Koko saw that you are clearly in distress with the way how you try to swat their hands away from your body.
Koko didn't know why his feet directed him to your spot and snatched you away from the grasp of the old men.
"Hey kid, what do you think you're doing? She's -" one of the old men stood up and tried to get you back.
Koko swiftly pulled his gun out, pointing it directly at the man.
"Saying something?" Koko cockily said as he flashed his infamous smirk.
"You can have her." The other old man said, as he tried to pry his friend away from the danger.
Not long after, Koko has dragged you out of the bar. Asking you some questions.
"What's your name?" He asked, looking sternly at the girl in front of him.
"Y/N. My name's Y/N." You replied, too scared to meet Koko's eyes.
"Are you scared of me?" Koko asked, voice laced with taunting.
"Y-yes. You're one of the owners, right?" You answered. "Are you going to fire me?"
"What if it is a yes?" Koko stated, continuously playing his taunting game.
Your (e/c) eyes grew wide. You hurriedly bow down in front of the man saying, "Please don't fire me! I need money to support my studies." You pleaded the man.
"Why is that?"
"I badly needed money in order to graduate and this job was able to support me all through college." You said as tears are threatening to fall down your (e/c) orbs.
Koko couldn't restrain himself anymore. There's something about your eyes that makes him feel warm, makes him feel he's home.
Koko lifted your chin using his index finger and swiping your lower lip with his thumb. Without any notice, Koko claimed your lips, hungrily.
Your eyes grew wide, brain is in too much shock that you couldn't even process what is happening.
But one thing's for sure, it sure do feels great to be kissed by the one and only Kokonoi Hajime.
