I'm not like other dudes. I'm also not like other girls. Mainly because I ain't either. I'm agender is what I'm meanin to say.
"Frankie, get up or you're going to be late!"
There's Mom. I groan and turn to the empty spot where my twin was sleeping. Xe didn't even think to wake me up, what an asshole. I groan getting out of bed, and keep on groaning while getting ready to go to school.
As I run to the kitchen to go get breakfast, I stick my tongue out at my twin, Al. Xe returns the favor and adds a middle finger.I rush into the kitchen and fry an egg real quick and just slide it between two pieces of bread so I can have it later. I grab an apple and another piece of bread for lunch.
I get ready in record speed and soon enough I'm dragging Al out with me on the way to school.
"Dude, why didn't ya wake me up!" I'm legit annoyed at xer, the one time I get up late and Mom'll hound me for it.
"I thought you'd wake up by yourself! I didn't expect you to take a snoozefest this morning."
"You'd want to snooze too if you were dumb as rocks like me! School is hell for me and you know that!"
"Yeah, which is why I left you for a few more moments of sleep! I just got distracted with a book is all."
We keep talkin in this manner on the way there, when we finally reach the gates of my personal hell: HIGH SCHOOL. It wouldn't be so bad if the teachers did their job and I wasn't misgendered constantly. Well, behind my back. I could kick all their asses and they know it, so at least it's never to my face.
I check my reflection in the trophy case window, where most of the schools budget was probably spent. I'm in my regular clothes, shorts and a t-shirt. My black hair's a mess, and I'm buff as ever, but I don't got my fake boobs on today, which makes me feel pretty uncomfortable. Al, my pangender twin, on the other hand, doesn't have xer binder on today. So xe looks kinda like a gal with xer perfectly groomed hair and pretty dress. If those guys keep given xer those eyes Al nd I will kick ALL their butts.
We both have English first but due to our greatly different skills in that class, we don't have the same class together. In English we were just going over like the five w's plus how. We knew this stuff, so I didn't pay that much attention. I just sorta... zoned out. When I finally snapped back to attention I had wrote down the who, what, when, where, why, and how of this school. What a wonderful reminder of my horrible handwritin.
WHO: no onc. this is a sclnool
WHAT: sclnool. cluln
WHEN: lonq fuckin timc aqo
WHERE: miclcllc of lccra
WHY: tlnc LAVV
HOW: tlnc qovt funclinOh no now the teacher was standing behind me now why is he behind me.
"Frankie, what is this?"
Ah SHIT.
"U-uh. The five w's plus how of this school..?"
"That isn't what I asked you to do, young man."
Silence while I tried to talk. I'm not a boy I'm not a boy Im not a boy Im not a boy im not a boy I'M NOT A BOY. I take a breath, forcing it to be even.
"Sir, I already understand the concept, which is why I decided to started doing examples of it, starting with the school."
His turn for silence. By now the whole class was silent.
"Very well. Carry on." He went back up to the front of the desk. Everyone's eyes were either on me or him, and I'll bet that everyone'll be talkin about it next class. A nervous murmur settles the class, and I accidentally make my pencil snap. I just use the end that was still sharpened.
Now we had gotten off track and were learnin about the caste system again. Blah blah blah, Trolls and Humans at the very bottom, Elves and Nagas in the middle, and Fairies and Dragons at the top. This slithery middle-classer took any chance to flaunt his superiority to us whenever possible to us human students, despite the fact Leera is one of the few places that's supposed to not have the caste system.
I don't like English class.
