𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆, the two tweens left a trail of blood behind every step they took. Their clothes were painted with a red thick substance, and tears breamed their [e/c] eyes, threatening to fall.
How could something so vile and wrong happen to kind and righteous people like them? Was this a sign for them? A sign that you shouldn't let people in, even if they're the nicest person in the world? How could a person wear such a beautiful and kind smile but be so evil and vicious?
'This doesn't make sense. Why us? Big brother and I have done nothing wrong! We were kind and caring, but maybe we were a little too kind and caring.' The [h/c] haired girl thought, mentally screaming in sadness.
"Sharp turn on the right." Her brother informed. They both hit a sharp turn in the forest and kept going straight. While running, her brother glanced at her. He was sad, but he knows his death probably hit harder for her.
"Hey, Lil sis?" The said girl hummed, acknowledging him.
"I know it's hard for you right now, but do not give in. We mustn't cry nor despair. He wouldn't want us to do that." The boy stated. Silence filled the air as two single tears ran down the girl's face.
"I─I know, but how could this happen, big brother?" She asked with a sad look. He stopped running, and she stopped too. He looked at her and placed both of his hands on both of her shoulders in a comforting manner. She sniffled and looked up at him.
"Look, I know this whole situation has you feeling sad, angered, betrayed, and maybe even depressed. But like I said, we mustn't cry right now. Save your tears for later." She nodded, and they both started back running.
"Hey, big bro?"
"Yes?" She pondered for a second and continued the conversation, "Where exactly are we going?"
"Hmm, I remember him telling me about a place he once traveled to. I believe the name is called Konohagakure."
"Konohagakure? You mean as in the Hidden Leaf?" She questioned with a raised eyebrow. He nodded his head yes. "Oh well, I guess this is going to be interesting. I mean, I have heard a lot of stuff about it in Reigakure!" The girl piped with a smile.
"Yeah, me too! I heard that their Hokage is like the strongest man in the world!" He exclaimed with sparkles in his eyes. You nodded furiously with excitement.
"And I heard that he was a big help in the 4th Great Ninja War!" The girl exclaimed with a proud look, "I can't wait to meet him y'know!"
"Well, don't worry, you'll meet him soon. Matter of fact, you'll meet him in about five minutes because Konoha is just up ahead." Her head shot towards her brother. The young girl had sparkles in her eyes. "For real!?" She asked in excitement.
He nodded, "For reals."
"Well, what are we waiting for!?" She exclaimed as she picked up her speed and sped in front of her brother, which caused him to speed up too.
"Hey don't run off idiot!"
"I can't help it, big bro!"
