Two Days

Day Two

On the next morning Ömer got up earlier and went out for shopping. He bought some groceries and other stuff. He, also, bought a necklace for Defne. It was not an expensive one, but Defne would appreciate it.

On his way back home Ömer made his revenge plan. Defne had put prank on him the previous night and now Ömer was going to tease her and take revenge.

Minutes later he was home. Together with Defne they prepared breakfast and made the dolmas.

Time passed and it was time for Defne to head home. At the door, when Ömer was seeing her off, Defne saw a small black box placed onto the cupboard, right next to the door.

"What is this?" she asked Ömer

"Aah, wait, wait, this is not yours." he answered "I mean, you can look at it, if you want to, but..."

"Never mind..." Defne said with an obvious sadness in her voice

But her curiousity was stronger than her and she quickly grabbed the box, opened it and looked at the necklace. Her face started blushing from anger and jealousy.

"Who is this for? Since it is not for me..." she asked "I am just asking out of curiousity."

Ömer was trying to remain serious, but after a while he gave up and made a short smile, after which Defne realised that she was being pranked.

"Ah, now I understood..." she exclaimed "Pis!"

"Ömer is coming, I must hang up." quoted Ömer "Did you think I could leave it like that?!"

"Is this mine?" she asked with a delighted smile

"It is yours, of course." he answered

Then he took the necklace out of the box and put it on its place - Defne's neck.

"How does it look?" Defne asked, smiling "Is it nice?"

"Perfect!" Ömer replied "Just like you."

Five minutes later Defne kissed Ömer for goodbye and headed over to her home as fast as possible.

After Ömer saw Defne off, he closed the big red door and leaned the back of his head towards it. He closed his eyes for a while and again put that beautiful smile of his, and thanked to God for the two amazing days that he spent with his beloved Defne.
