What If... Sonic the Hedgehog was in My Hero Academia? - Volume 2

Episode 23: One for All

LET'S CATCH YOU UP TO SPEED...

"Yo. I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. A student at UA, on my journey toward becoming a hero. Last time, Eggman sprung one final surprise attack on us, but you know me. Nothing I can't handle! I blew through his machines and took him outta commission for good this time. Don't think we'll be hearing from him for a while, meaning things might start to slow down around here. Still, I wonder... what the heck is that new power I unlocked?"

A few days go by since Sonic's last battle with Dr. Eggman. Pros arrived soon after to clean up the mess and make sure that Eggman was truly gone for good. Sonic spent the next few days speeding across the island, taking out any reserve badniks lurking around. He grew popular amongst the islanders quickly, who were extremely grateful for his defeating Eggman. Sonic also went around town helping out the islanders and the cleanup crew. They soon dubbed Sonic the Hero of South Island. Sonic and Aizawa soon departed the island and headed back to the mainland as normal classes would soon resume.

Sonic: *yawns as he sits down* Man, I'm beat. As fun as this little getaway was, it'll be nice to go home and see everyone again.

Aizawa: Just remember to focus on your studies when we get back.

Sonic: Yeah yeah I got it. Hmm... now that I think of it, I wonder how everyone else's internships went...

*quick transition to the entirety of Hosu on fire and under attack from Nomus while Deku and Iida lay bleeding on the ground crying out in pain*

Sonic:... Ah, I'm sure they're fine. At least we don't need to worry about Eggman anymore.

As their flight takes off, the scene shifts to a scuffed-up Dr. Eggman, as his destroyed Egg Mobile floats aimlessly in the ocean. Eggman sees the plane overhead take off. He looks up and lets out a devious grin.

Dr. Eggman: Very well, hedgehog. You've proven yourself a worthy foe. You may win today- *he pulls out a blue electrified quill in a containment unit that he found in the aftermath of their battle* -but there's always tomorrow! HOHOHOHOHO!!

After another short plane ride, they arrived back in the mainland and head for UA. Sonic meets up with his team, while Aizawa finds All Might.

Aizawa: *knocks on his office door* Hey, it's me. You got a minute? We need to talk.

All Might: Hey! Eraserhead! Good to see you back safe and sound. So, how did the mission go?

Aizawa: That's what I wanna talk to you about.

Aizawa closes the door, turns off the lights, and projects a video on the board, showing footage captured of Sonic in his powered-up state as he tears through the Egg Dragoon. All Might looks a bit uneasy.

Aizawa: The kid's power... there's no mistaking it. He's got your quirk. You didn't tell us you had TWO successors. Wanna explain that?

All Might: Hmm... I noticed something back at the USJ and the sports festival but I wasn't certain. Now I am.

All Might turns off the projector and walks out of the room.

All Might: Thanks for the heads up, Eraserhead. I'm going to talk to him about this.

Aizawa: You sure that's the best move? I mean it's one thing to tell the Problem Child but this kid...

All Might: He deserves to know the truth about his power. *he smiles* How else will he be able to reach his full potential as a hero?
