Klaus sat in Jessica's office as he waited for Jessica to come back with their triplets
When the door opened he shot up out of his seat and Jessica laughed at him
"Ease up," Jessica said
"Just nervous to meet them," Klaus said
Jessica smiled "They have known about you since they were babies, only good things were said and they are just as nervous and excited to meet you as you are them," Jessica said
Klaus smiled and Jessica let the triplets in
"This is Charlotte, Cassandra, and Cecilia," Jessica said
"They all look so much like you," Klaus said smiling at them and they smiled back except for Cecilia but that was because she acted the most like Klaus
"Well I'm the oldest and mom's favorite so just know I will make myself your favorite as well, at least out of us three," Charlotte said
Klaus nodded and laughed
"She is only older by three seconds and she is so not mom's favorite, but just know she will get on your nerves the most out of us three," Cassandra said smiling at her father and Klaus laughed while Charlotte hit her sisters shoulder
"Obviously I'm the youngest, and many people say I act exactly like you so be prepared for mom to send me to you if I make her mad," Cecilia smirked and her father laughed
"And before you say anything about yourself we know everything, Uncle Damon told us most of it, then Alaric told us what mom wouldn't," Cassandra said
Klaus nodded but worried they knew about him cheating but from their reactions they didn't *Which is why they don't hate him yet like in the quotes*
While Klaus and the girls were talking, Jessica was catching up on some work while looking at them smiling at how fast the bonded
The bells rang and the girls got up "As much as we love this we have a test this period maybe you can come to our house on the weekend and we can bond more but just you, we aren't ready to meet the others yet," Cecilia said and Klaus nodded
Once the girls left Klaus walked over to Jessica's desk
"Thank you for letting me see them and be there for them," Klaus said
Jessica smiled at him "I have wanted you to know about them since I found out I was pregnant with them, even after you cheated I wanted you in their life, so I made sure they knew you the you I fell in love with not the monster everyone else remembers," Jessica said and Klaus smiled at her thankful for how kind she was even after what he did
"I'm happy you found someone new that you weren't sitting around only remembering my betrayal," Klaus said "I was going to win you back but after hearing you were married to Alaric and saw you are very happy with him I decided against that," Klaus said
"Well I am thankful you aren't trying to ruin my marriage," Jessica said and they laughed together
"I have missed this, maybe we can continue only as friends?" Klaus asked but scared of rejection
Jessica smiled at him "Of course we can be friends Nik," Jessica said and Klaus smiled at her use of his name
They continued to talk for hours until Jessica finally kicked him out so she could finish her work
Once he got home he was bombarded by questions about the triplets
"Now can we meet them?" Rebekah said annoyed she couldn't see them
"No," Klaus said
Rebekah scoffed "Oh did Mrs Saltzman say we aren't allowed to see them," Rebekah said
"No Jessica didn't say anything about you meeting them it was them who said they didn't want to meet you and this is why," Klaus said "They said they weren't ready and now I will make sure they are never ready to meet you," Klaus said and stormed to his art room tired of his family
