I slowly breath getting the courage to face joe, I open the door and look around finding joe in the new kitchen cooking.
"Joe?"
"Yes blossom"
"Why would you do this"
"Do what"
He sounds genuinely confused, which annoys me.
"Take miya he's a child you stole him from his home"
"I took him with his parents, he already calls us Mum and dad"
"That doesn't mean you could take him, we both know he said those names as a joke, you took his home and life away"
"I thought you would thank me"
"Thank you why would I ever thank you"

Joe drops the knife he was holding and walks over to me.
"I don't think you realise that it was either take him or kill him so your choice"
"What"
"We'll what's your choice keep him alive or kill him I don't care, I promised I wouldn't hurt him but that's your choice"
"No no you can't kill him"
"Then don't push me into it again"
Joe walked away from me back into the kitchen,
"Food will be ready in 5 so go wake up the kid"

I walk back to the room and shut the door just standing there frozen, I'm sorry miya I can't set you free I can't set either of us free.
