The Time Of Night

Chapter 2

Pip stared at me, she opened her mouth like she was going to talk, then "KIAN , WERE ALL GONNA DIE!!!" screamed Luke,my other best friend, I jumped and turned towards him. Me and Pip, in unison, shouted "SHUT UP LUKE!". The passengers were all screaming. Some crying. The driver was still concentrated, but on what? It was ages of horror,but the driver stopped in a field,I'm the middle of no-where . he stood up and stared at us, with a look of stress. He fell on the floor with a thud,like he had died. Silence. Just pure silence. Then, HAVOC. SCREAMING, SHOUTING, UNBEARABLE NOISES. The bus started to shake, scaring everyone even more. Me and Pip were calm. me being the boastful, annoying, supposedly brave child I am, I stood up and walked to the door. I reached for the drivers seat to open the door , but I didn't need to. The door slid open on its own, as if by magic. Or something much, much worse. I stood still for a moment ,then stumbled out. Pip and Luke walked out to accompany me. The ground shook again. The ground cracked open all around us. Something was wrong. Very wrong.
