Chapter 2

I balance myself after teetering for a few moments. As I glide through the air, I notice how beautiful Paris looks at night with all of the lights. No wonder people want to come here so bad.

I boost myself forward with another flap of my wings. There's no time to get distracted, (Y/N).

As I arrive, I see Ladybug and Cat Noir fighting someone who looks like a showman. The bulb on his cane glows as he blasts Cat Noir away. He lands safely on his feet.

I tense up as I glance at Croww, who's perching on the roof next to me.

"What do I do? I don't know what my powers are!"

Croww watches the battle unfold with keen eyes. He never loses sight of the villain.

"Go in there and fight. It will come to you naturally."

He doesn't say anything else before flying high in the sky. I look back down. Everyone seems to be distracted, so I jump down.

I boost myself forward while preparing to strike. My plan is to swoop through and scratch this guy as I do so.

Unfortunately, I just crash into him, sending us both to the ground. He quickly grabs his top hat and points the opening at me. I roll to the side as a throwing knife shoots out of the hat. It sticks into the lamp post behind me.

He scoffs as he stands up.

"How dare you?! I am Ringmaster, and no one messes with my plans! It looks like Hawkmoth will be getting more than just Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous."

Ladybug, Cat Noir, and I flank Ringmaster at three different angles. Ladybug glances toward her earring. This battle has been going on for quite some time. Let's hope that my arrival didn't just cause Ladybug and Cat Noir to be defeated.

For the first time since I saw what was happening, I see fear in Ringmaster's eyes. He doesn't want to lose. He wants this power. I wonder if he made himself angry on purpose to be akumatized.

"Enough! The show ends the way I want it to!"

Ringmaster throws a small ball on the ground and smoke quickly surrounds us. I try to wave the smoke away as best as I can, but it just keeps coming.

Suddenly, I get a certain feeling pulling at the back of my mind.

"Bird's Eye View!"

Something starts overlapping with my vision. After a few moments, I realize I'm looking through Croww's eyes right now.

I see the big cloud of smoke on the ground. I see me, as I'm positively glowing in Croww's vision. I walk backwards until I'm out of the smoke.

I see a spinning, glowing item. Oh, Ladybug's yoyo!

At the same time, I see another glowing light in the center. Ringmaster's cane is charging power.

I crouch down before flying upward, avoiding the moment when Ringmaster slams his cane on the ground. A shockwave clears all the smoke away and knocks Ladybug and Cat Noir off their feet.

I release hold on Croww's vision and resume looking through my eyes.

Ringmaster's whip wraps around Cat Noir's wrist and yanks him back in. He reaches for Cat Noir's ring as I dive bomb him. I cannot fail with my first villain.

I snatch the cane from Ringmaster's hand and break it over my knee. The akuma flies out and Ladybug steps up.

"No more evildoing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize!"

Ladybug captures and purifies the akuma. Wow. I've seen videos online of her doing that, but it's different to see it in person.

"Miraculous Ladybug!"
