You had been enjoying a normal, uneventful day, mindlessly scrolling through your phone with nothing pressing to do. That was until your phone buzzed with a call from your girlfriend.

"Hey, um, could you come over and help with something? It's urgent!" Her voice was calm, but there was an undertone of panic. Before you could respond, she hung up quickly.

You barely had time to process the strange urgency in her voice before you threw on some clothes and rushed to her place.

You arrived expecting anything but what you found.

"Is that..." You trailed off, unsure how to finish your sentence.

"My dad? Yeah." She nodded, eerily composed.

"So... uh..." you faltered, your mind racing.

"Do you think you could help me?" she asked, her eyes wide with desperation.

You stared at her, exasperated. "You know, when I said I'd help you hide a body, I didn't think you actually meant literally!" You sighed, hoping—no, praying—that this was some kind of mistake.

"Come on! Don’t you watch those true crime documentaries? You know the best ways to hide bodies! Please, I'll do whatever you want me to, I swear!" She pleaded, her voice shaky but determined.

You sighed again, reluctantly agreeing. "Fine."

"Why do we need... animal piss and shit? And why do you have so much of it?" you asked, trying to wrap your mind around the absurdity.

She set the bag of animal waste on the ground, looking almost casual about it. "To cover the smell, so the search dogs won't pick it up. Hopefully, anyway."

You rubbed your temples as you pulled her father's dead body into your garage. "God, I'm gonna need to bleach everything. There's blood everywhere. You should be thankful I live alone."

She just laughed nervously.

"Alright, so let's cut him up. Doesn't matter how, just make sure he's not in one piece." You handed her an axe. "Wanna help?"

You shrugged, already too far in to back out. "Why not."

After the grim work was done, you moved the pieces to your car, then waited for nightfall so you could get everything in place.

Once it was late enough, you two drove far out into the middle of nowhere, where the nearest building or person was miles away.

"This feels like something straight out of a horror movie," you chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

She gave you a dry look. "We're the ones hiding a body. Can’t get much scarier than this."

You both started unloading the car.

"This is going to take forever," you said, handing her a shovel. "Dig straight down. Once you're done, put a piece of him in, then repeat the process."

She took the shovel, nodding. "Guess I don't have much choice."

You went back to the car, but then remembered something else that might help.

"Jiyeong! Come here!"

She jogged over, a look of confusion on her face. When she saw the dead animal in your trunk, she recoiled, gagging. "How long has that been in there?"

"Probably a few days," you said, trying to sound casual. "Don’t ask where I got it, but I’m going to cut it up and we’ll bury it with your dad. We’ll cover it with dirt, then place the animal pieces on top, okay?"

She nodded quickly and rushed back to the hole she was digging.

Hours passed as you both worked tirelessly, covering the grave with animal waste to throw off any search dogs, just in case. You were exhausted, but there was still work to be done.

Finally, the gruesome task was complete. You cleaned up, double-checking for any fingerprints or evidence, then wiped down the garage and your car.

Once everything was as spotless as you could manage, you drove Jiyeong back to your place. You disposed of anything that could tie either of you to the crime, and after cleaning up as much as possible, you both took a much-needed shower.

Drained, both physically and emotionally, you collapsed into bed beside her, the weight of the night's actions pressing down on you. You hoped—prayed—that you wouldn't end up behind bars.
