Phase I

It was silent here at the library with no one else but the feminine looking librarian reading books and a lone figure who happened to be the librarian's close friend randomly looking at some science fiction books. The school was having a program for the seniors. Kyungsoo was supposed to be there since he was one of the seniors but he chose to stay here in the library avoiding two particular persons.

"No Krystal, please don't do this to me."

Kyungsoo flinched when he heard someone talked on the other side of the bookshelves where he was standing at. He was at the library looking for books to read while he was waiting for the program to finish. The voice was oddly familiar to him.

Kim Jongin, his childhood friend who forgot about his existence ever since he started dating Jung Soojung. He was your regular next door bad boy. He had a reputation in the school for being the only student who made even the school's principal afraid of his very existence.

Kyungsoo often scolded him when he got home and found Jongin sitting on his bed and his window was open. He was cutting classes again. If his parents were not one of the sponsors of the school, he was probably kicked out a long time ago.

Jung Soojung or Krystal as everyone else called her was the popular girl who everyone loves for her looks and personality. Not to mention that she is one of the top students of the school. The type of girl who you would think wouldn't go for someone like Kim Jongin.

She was Kyungsoo's best friend. He was the one who introduced the two to each other when they were still in their second year in high school and Jongin was a freshman. It was love at first sight as they called it.

Jongin would always bug Kyungsoo for Krystal's number. He was reluctant at first, saying things to himself like they didn't match because of the fact that Krystal was this and Jongin was that. But then he saw how Krystal would always look at his back when they met during lunch breaks at the cafeteria. It was as if she was expecting me to bring someone with me.

Then one day, Krystal confessed about how she was attracted to Jongin and that she wants to know more about him. He tried to tell her all about Jongin's bad habit but no, she didn't even budge. She was acting like a lovesick fool looking at the entrance of the cafeteria where Jongin was standing at and was looking at their direction, looking at Krystal to be exact.

Kyungsoo flinched and bit the insides of his cheeks to stop tears from spilling out of the corners of his eyes. They were cruelly in love with each other.

Since that day, the two became closer and Jongin started to change back to when he was a sweet little child. After a month of courting, Kyungsoo got surprised by the news that they got already together. He didn't even hear the news from their mouth.

Kyungsoo confronted them about it and asked if it was true. They nodded their heads before looking at each other sweetly. They were having their own little world full of butterflies and rainbows.

Little did they know they were crushing someone else's heart.

Kyungsoo was head over heels in love with Jongin for a very long time. He didn't know when he started feeling this way but the only thing he knows was that these feelings wouldn't leave him anytime soon. He would always be hurt every time he saw Krystal and Jongin walking together, eating together, and doing things together. What so ever.

Kyungsoo was thankful that he still had some other friends who will still be there for him whenever Kai and Krystal left him. Byun Baekhyun the mighty eyeliner king who's as sassy as any PMSing girls can be and Luhan the bubbly librarian who thought he was manly but doesn't do anything other than oozing his cute bubbly aura.
