"Doesn't the house feel a bit empty?" Giselle asked as she snuggled more into Karina's embrace.

"I know what you're doing, you can be blunt about it you know" Karina giggled as she removed her gaze from the movie they were watching.

"It's just, we're married for 2 years now isn't it time for us to expand our family"

"I know what you mean, and anything is okay with me may it be IVF or adopting I would really want children with you" Karina answered honestly.

"Wow, it was that easy to convince you? I should have asked last year," Giselle joked which caused Karina to shove her playfully "But to be honest I feel like you would be such a great mother"

"You too, and I'm sure I'll be the cool mom" Karina smugly said causing Giselle to burst into laughter.

"Hey! It's true! I'll be a cool mom to them" the older complained

"Dream on Rina!"

--------------------

After a few months after their conversation, Karina was surprised with her wife entering her study with a big grin on her face.

"What has you all happy today? A new fashion collection idea?" Giselle shooked her head.

"Something much better!" the light-haired woman was almost bouncing with how she was glowing with happiness.

"Fine I can't think of anything, spill I wanna know your good news" Karina surrendered as she couldn't wait for what the news was to make her wife so excited.

"Well remember our talk a few months ago?" the light-haired woman asked.

"Oh yeah, our plans about expanding the family?.... Are you pregnant?!" Karina instantly stood up from her seat and touched her wife's stomach

"Dummy! you don't have that how will I be pregnant"

"I was just weighing the chances okay?" Karina pouted caressing Giselle's stomach.

"Well...it's a bit related to that" Giselle mumbled getting a bit nervous about her wife's reaction.

"What is, Hun...whatever it is I'm sure it will be okay if I'm with you"

"Well I passed some documents to this adoption center near ours, then they saw we are a good candidate and they said they wanted to interview us by Monday and meet some of the kids there," Giselle said presenting the documents she was holding, she grew nervous as her wife was not saying anything "...I know I should have asked you first before I sent our files but I just wanted to surprise you, IVFs are expensive and I think it's much better to adopt and maybe give those angels a chance of a happy family you know If you don't want---"

"Hun, Hun it's wonderful don't worry" Karina reassured her wife, tears started to pool her eyes at the thought of having kids with her wife "Anything is okay with me if we are doing it together, adoption is not a problem to me unless I'm doing it with you"

Giselle grinned more widely as she hugged the taller woman, they were this close to finally having the family they were dreaming of.

"A-are you okay by Monday? will you have a meeting?" Giselle asked as she knew her wife was busy with being a manager at her company.

"I'll call in a day-off, you know I would do that just for you it's an important day, I want to be there" Karina reassured her wife as she kissed her forehead.

"Our silent house will soon be filled with little pitter-patters and little giggles here and there," Giselle thought.

"Toys around our living room and a little rascal wanting our attention while we work" Karina smiled she used to only imagine what their life would be with a kid, but now it was slowly coming true now.

"It's lovely, I can't wait for that day to come" Giselle glanced at her wife lovingly, she tiptoed a bit and pecked her wife's lips. "I love you"

"I love you too"

------------------------

Karina glanced at her wife as she parked the car, they arrived at the adoption center but Giselle had been nervous the moment they left their house.

"Hun?" Karina held her wife's trembling hands "What's the matter?"

"It's j-just what if they don't approve us being suitable as adoptive parents, I-I just don't know--"

"Shh, Honey you will do great, we will do great. I saw you studying and even researching about it, I promise you everything will be alright" Karina kissed Giselle's hand as she reassured her wife.

"T-thank you Hun, you always know what to say" Giselle smiled softly, she took a deep breath to relaxed her self "Okay let's go"

The first part of the adoption process was being interviewed first by professionals, it wasn't just as easy as going there picking a child and just going home with a family.

No, it was a long and nerve-wracking process, this was needed to know if you will be a suitable adoptive parent and if the household will be suitable for a child to live in if you are able to pass the first part of this it will smooth sailing for the rest.

That's when you will start to meet the kids at the center, get to know them and bond with them, get them used to your presence and as their future parents before you will be able to bring them home.

Karina and Giselle were nervous, to say the least when they sat down as they were going to be interviewed by one of the co-founders of the center, questions were asked about their lifestyle, incomes, and their knowledge about children. Karina was a bit nervous but answered the question by the heart while Giselle stuttered a bit with her words but still was able to answer the questions thrown at them.

"That will be all Mrs.Yu and Mrs. Kim, the results will be emailed to you by this week" The interviewer smiled softly at them contrast from her cold stare when the interview started.

"Thank you too, Ms..."

"Jung, Jessica Jung" the older woman smiled at them, The couple shook her hand and bid her goodbye as they step out of the building the nervousness left their body as it was finally over.

"You did great Aeri-yah" Karina hugged her wife.

"You too, we are almost there Karina we passed the first part we just need to wait and we will meet our future angels soon," Giselle said, her eyes traveled to the playground in front of the center where some of the kids were playing with each other.

"Soon, we'll be seeing our angels and we will give them all the love they deserve in this world," the older said following her wife's gaze smiling at the kids who were playing around but her eyes caught the attention of a girl sitting on the swing, the girl saw the couple and started waving at them.

The couple waved back smiling at the adorable black-haired girl who had her hair in braids, they glanced at her one last time before they went inside their car.
