Ch.9 : Your Friendly Neighborhood Titan

It's been a few days now, and Moonhidora comes over to visit Isaac every day, she usually spends 3-8 hours there each day. Having Moonhidora coming over by the farm hasn't exactly been good, her presence scares the animals and he does sometimes damage some buildings of the farm, unintentionally though. Sometimes she comes during the noon, or sometimes late at night, sometimes early in the morning.

Whenever she does come though, she always offers Isaac to come with her, which is back home to Dominica. Isaac didn't wanna go back and live in that jungle, he just wants to live with his family, not be separated again. Something Moonhidora doesn't seem to understand.

You may ask, "Why doesn't Isaac tell her such? Well she's a titan, not a human, she doesn't understand human English"

Isaac does like having her around though, she is friendly and loves playing with him.

For the rest of the civilians, however, they so far are tolerant of Moonhidora's presence in their neighborhood, she mostly leaves the other humans alone, like Isaac's neighbors. So far, he hasn't brought a friend over just in case Moonhidora might get defensive, and... well something bad could happen if that does happen.

Today, Isaac was laying down in the middle of the plot, looking up at the sky and watching the clouds go buy. Like any other day, it was hot out, over 80 degrees at least.

He cloud gazing was interrupted when Callist came into view, looking down at him. Isaac chuckled, "Hey big girl, how are you", she came down and licked Issac. Isaac chuckled and petted her snout, and she purred in response.

Isaac soon sat up, and Moonhidora soon placed her hand on the ground, gesturing Isaac to come with her back home. Isaac declined her offer, and soon went over to the chickens to let them out, they wouldn't though, they we're scared. Isaac just left the door open, and looked up at Moonhidora who was looking down at him with a loving smile.

Isaac decided to groom Moonhidora with a brush, each head laid down and Isaac brushed her horns. He thought he'd show Moonhidora how much he appreciates her, and Moonhidora was loving the scrubbing.

Even though she was a titan, an animal the size of a building, she was surprisingly clean. How does she do it? Maybe her sisters clean each other, or they find a big enough lake to clean off like a bird.

He soon stopped brushing her and rested against the side of Eura's head, and read a book.

A few hours later, Isaac was taking a forest walk, and accompanying him was Moonhidora. She flew around the area he was in and would even stand by as he walked past her.

Isaac soon made it to a meadow he always goes to, this meadow has a single lonely tree. He always goes to this spot to draw, or just relax and watch the sky. Its a way for him to get out of the house.

Moonhidora sensed the tree had some sentimental value to Isaac, so she was careful not to knock it down, she laud down and Io and Callist rested next to him. The sun was beaming down on them, and birds flew around, and some came down on Moonhidora and picked out any worms or other parasites that flourish in between Moonhidora's scales.

Isaac was sketching Moonhidora, and he was also watching the sunset. He looked over to Io and petted her snout, Io purred in response, and she went over and nuzzled Isaac gently and her purring grew slightly louder.

Soon, the sun began to set and Moonhidora took Isaac back home to the farm, and she soon took off. Isaac spent the rest of the night with his father and his dog Bazil.

He soon went to bed.

A week passed and each day was like this one, Moonhidora came over each day and would spend 3-8 hours there before leaving. Isaac made quite a few neighborhood friends, and whenever Moonhidora left for the day.

Moonhidora doesn't know that Isaac made new friends, and Isaac plans to keep it that way. There's no way of telling how'd she react to Isaac having friends, since she's his best friend.

Today, Moonhidora came pretty early, at 7:21 AM, and she soon left at 12:45 PM, and now that Moonhidora was gone for the entire day, Isaac could go visit some friends at the meadow. One was named James, one was Billy, one was Eric and the other as Carly.

Billy and James were talking about Isaac bond with Moonhidora, calling him the "titan whisperer". Isaac didn't wanna explain to them about the story of how they met, but he told them about how sweet and loving she is.

"Does Moony know we're your friends?" asked Billy

Isaac shook his head, "No, No she doesn't. Let's keep it that way though"

"Why?" said James.

"Well... I don't know how she'll take it. Would she be okay with it? Or would she not like me having friends?" Isaac said

"Besides... Its too high of a risk, we probably don't wanna know what she'd do if she doesn't like it" said Carley

"Yeah... especially with what she can do, what she's capable off" said Eric

Isaac nodded.

Isaac soon came back home, and had dinner with his dad, and he was troubled. Ever since he's been making friends with the kids of the neighborhood, he was very nervous about it.

His father soon figured out something was wrong with him, Matthew asked "what's wrong, son?"

"Oh, n-nothing"

"Son, I know when your lying, and I see your not fine. What's wrong?"

Isaac sighed "You know about the friends I've been making, right?"

Matthew sneered "Is someone picking on you?"

"No... It's just that you know Moonhidora has been coming over, like everyday, right?"

"Hard to not notice something so big"

Isaac chuckled, "Well... now that I now have friends... how do you think she'd react to seeing me with other people?"

Matthew was silent for a moment, "She's an unpredictable titan, there's no telling how she'd react. Given how nice she had been to us both, I don't think she'll mind"

Isaac looked up at him, "You really think so?"

Matthew nodded "She loves you like a mother to her offspring, im sure like any good parent, she wants you to be happy"

Isaac smiled, Matthew's got a point, Moonhidora loves him as if he were her child, and he figured that if he wants to be a good step-parent, she would want Isaac to be as happy as possible.

He decides tomorrow, he should introduce her to his friends.
