octo's eventful journey (jjba themed)

Part 1 - "untimely start"

Octo awoke from his light nap to a thump at the door. Neptune had just arrived back from work and they were pretty exhausted. Octo, however, had taken the day off due to an unbearable migraine he'd had that morning.

"Can you help me with the bags? Mam's still in hospital, as you can tell, and she won't be here to help us any time soon,"
"I'm coming Nebby, gimme a minute!"
"Octavius Devon Mintz, we are not 5, just come here before your ice cream melts away"
Almost immediately Octo sprung up and rushed to help his twin, I wonder why.

Octo was pretty well built, although his tired brown eyes hung in the sockets and his messy, bright-red hair sat like a mop on his head.
Neptune on the other hand had short black hair that reached just above their shoulders and had a softer look on their face, matching their deep blue eyes. The twins looked nothing alike, which was always a conversation starter at family dinners when younger.

Octo swiped his glasses off his bedside table and flew to aid his sibling. 'Nebby' had just been shopping after work and unfortunately still had a lot of unpacking to do. They'd felt an odd presence surrounding them for the past few days and wanted to relax, thinking a good night's sleep would do them good.

Octo tumbled down the stairs before rummaging through the Asda bags in order to find his sacred Ben & Jerry's ice cream tub. That of which he waited ages for as Neptune never bought it.
"Nebby, when's your girlfriend coming over?" Octo inquired.
"Same time as Magnolia, why ask?" Neptune responded.
"Just curiousss" He answered, elongating the '-s'.
Neptune's girlfriend was a very athletic girl that Octo found really fun to hang around, she was almost like an older sister figure for him.
A ring at the door signalled Magnolia and Atlas' arrival,
Octo bounced over straight after shoving two tins of sweetcorn into the cupboard to invite his friends inside.
