Lila's POV

It has then been exactly three months since we moved into our first real home. The blood moon has been staying away for now at least, which was great news for me even though I did tell Fern that she was allowed to turn me on the third one. She even asked me if I was still okay with the idea of me being a vampire. She was the best girlfriend in the entire world, she was just so gentle with me.

We were currently at the giant waterfall, having our little celebration. We were in a small cave which was hidden away from all of the noise from the waterfall. I looked at Fern, who was smiling at me, her cheeks a little bit pink which was kind of surprising. I could feel that she was nervous about something too, from our mate bond. "What's up?" I asked her, "I can feel that you are nervous, but for what reason? Is it because of this?" I pointed at the waterfall, before Fern gently grabbed my left hand and brought it up to her lips, giving me a little kiss.

She then looked at my fingers, her eyes becoming a light shade of purple as she reached into the pocket of her cardigan, taking out a black box. What...was she doing? What was in the box? Why did I suddenly have butterflies?

"When I first laid my eyes on you, back at the castle, I fell in love with you immediately. It was strange, because I never had feelings for women before. It was my first experience. And now...our bond, our relationship has grew incredibly high." she began her little speech. "I didn't know how to love someone until you showed up. So, Lila..."

She opened the box, revealing the most beautiful and expensive, gold diamond ring. She then got on one knee. It was a good idea to bring a blanket, otherwise her knee would be hurting her.

"Lila Lane, will you marry me and become Lila Harlow?" she asked me the big question.

I then stood up, smoothing down my blue dress. I had my answer and that answer was a big simple yes.

"Put that ring on my finger, babe. Because yes, I would love to marry you." I told her.

She squealed a little from pure happiness at that, quickly putting the ring on my finger and pulled me in for a long kiss and hug.
