It was a nice day. We
were on the way to London where my relatives lived. The sun shone brightly. But I did not feel hot because she was sitting next to me and her smile was making my heart cool. In our small car, the melody of fresh music was flowing around. It was in our summer holidays. And we visited to my hometown, London. ‘I think Amsterdam will be hotter than London. But now, it’s hotter here.’ Autumn started talking who was looking at the scenery and smiling all the time. ‘No, Amsterdam is hotter. The weather here is better.’ I told her, glancing her face. ‘So, why did you move to Amsterdam?’  ‘It was just to meet beautiful Netherlands girls. But I unfortunately met a crazy girl. Oh, I pity myself.’

I could exactly say Autumn would be angry and start to shout me though I did not look at her. ‘Well, so, when you return Amsterdam, go find a beautiful and elegant girl!’ I was just laughing and kept on driving. ‘Shall we go to a beach first before going home.’ ‘No!’ Autumn said angrily. ‘When you find a new girl, go together with her! I knew about you since you are very popular in college. I knew that. I shouldn’t have met you.

Autumn was really angry. But I knew she would forget about this argument and it would be fine as soon as we arrived at the beach. Because she is exactly that type of girl who could be angry easily and cool down easily. Jack stopped talking and just laughed. ‘Why are you laughing? Jack!’  It was really fun to argue with Autumn.

Jack closed his eyes. He stopped thinking. Even though they are very precious memories of his life, every time he thought about it, he felt the pain from his heart because also painful memories reminded him together with good ones. He did not want to be hurt like that again.

‘Jack, Hey Jack!’ ‘What?’ ‘The class is over. What are you thinking about? Did you hear the lecture?’ ‘Oh, yes, of course!’ He did not have to listen because he had already known.

‘Tom, see you’ ‘See you.’ Jack looked at Tom’s back. Tom was always his best friend since before. Jack took his bicycle and returned home. Of course! The weather of Amsterdam was nicer than ever like she always said. The city was always active and fresh. Everywhere was filled with memories which had been beautiful and delightful once.

The rain started to come down. It was Sunday so Autumn did not have to go to school. But it was a shame. Autumn always wanted to walk along the Collage lane in the rain listening to her favorite piano music ‘Kiss the rain’. She knew she had always been dreamy. Autumn smiled herself. Although she was full of whys, she did not want to ruin this beautiful and peaceful rain due to these confusing thoughts. And she looked at her phone. It was 3.P.M. And she suddenly realized that it was the time to help at her Uncle’s coffee shop. ‘Yes! A chance to walk in the rain!’

She could also do whatever she wanted at the coffee shop because it was holiday. Customers would not come as much as in weekdays. She put on her coat and got out of her room. ‘Mom, I’m going to part-time job,’ Autumn requested. ‘Is it at your Uncle’s cafe?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Tell your Uncle to repay his debt to me.’ ‘Okay, so I’m leaving.’

It was cold outside. Autumn took out her umbrella. Everything looked great and pleasant in the rain. The raindrops were cool too. It had been a long time since after the last rain she saw. After a long walk, Autumn turned to the narrow lane and the rain also started to stop. She was seeing the sign board of the coffee shop. That was just a small and cute building with only two or three tables. Autumn went into the shop.
