Tw; homophobia
It's not as if Mikaela was senseless, or dense. He could feel, see, and touch just like other people could. Yet whenever the topic of love came around, he never knew how to reply. It was as if he was swimming in a dark black sea, unable to breath, only left to drown.
'I wish I wasn't like this.'
"Oh but you are. You can't escape it, can't hide, can't run. You'll never be able to understand them will you?"
'Don't say that. I'm just.. a little slower at understanding.'
"Why does whenever they ask who you like, you never reply? You know I can keep a secret so just tell me already ~"
'Shut up. You.. vampire.'
"Oh I see how it is, I'm guessing that boy from earlier is the one you have yours eyes on. Maybe I should just eat him for myself!"
'I SAID SHUT UP!'
Mikaela stirred awake, his eyelids open wide and his heart racing. His skin felt itchy, and the mattress was soaked with sweat. Softly, he rubbed his already watery eyes. The blonde rose up and turned on his lamp, it was 5:30 in the morning.
Steadily he walked downstairs, hearing the audible tune of the morning rain pass by. Splotches of water fell in drops, some were fat and thick while others were small and frail. The once sunset sky was replaced with a cloudy grey, making Mikaela sigh in defeat.
He should have gotten up earlier, then he would be able to see his precious Yuu-chan. After all, who doesn't like seeing their best friend in the morning?
But then again, Mikalea wasn't sure if 'best friend' was the right word either. But he couldn't tell anyone what he was feeling, what he thought. What would they think if he told them? How he never really truly loved a woman like everyone else had.
It made him feel disgusting.
The blonde never dared to tell anyone, for he knew they would hate him. After what happened with them anyway.
His heart started pounding restlessly, eyes dilating and heavy breaths barely escaping his lungs. "Yuu-chan.." The blonde whispered, he feared that he would faint any second. Lust was starting to fume in his senses, how he hated this feeling. A yearning for blood that was getting stronger by the second, Mika nearly forgot he was a vampire.
"Where is the vile.." The darkness of the sky however hide his vile, the one thing he needed. The one thing he desired. "I need to drink before they pick me up." 10 minutes passed, nothing. 30 minutes passed, nothing.
Mikaela slumped against the kitchen island, utterly and hopelessly useless. 'I can handle a day without it I suppose..' He felt his limbs start to root themselves to the ground, his fangs growing sharper for blood.
"Mika! There you are, I thought you were still asleep upstairs. If you were to come to school late again you know Guren won't be pleased with us." Mikalea didn't move, he was too shocked to say anything. There right in front of him was.. Yuu-chan? And in the back is Shinoa?
"Yuu-chan, how did you get in? Why are you here.. it's only 6.." Yuu looked down at the blonde confused, arching his brow. "Mika you gave me your house key in case anything happens remember? And geez its not 6 its 7! You can be such a dumbass sometimes!" Mikaela smiled weakly, he barely even noticed how much time has gone by.
