I sighed as I placed the last box in the small cottage that I would now call my home. I brushed the dust off my hands and glanced at the empty walls. They looked so bland and lonely without pictures and memories hanging apon them. My eyes traveled over to a rectangular box with messy black ink on it. 'for Rose' the writing read. I shrugged and picked up the box. I laid it flat and pulled out my pocket knife to cut the tape. Inside sat a beautiful black keyboard, with a note. "Music is the language of mankind. Only when one learns that language can he be considered truly wise.
-Sis"
I smiled as I pulled out my phone and dialed a number. One of my friends loved instruments and knew a lot of musicians that could help me learn how to play.*RING*

"Hello?"
"Hey Anessa, it's Rose."
"Rose! How have you been?"
"Fine. Do you know anyone that can teach me how to play piano?"
"Yeah, actually my cousin does. I'll send him over."
"Cool. I owe you one."
"No problem dude. I'll call you later.
"OK. Bye."I hung up and unpacked the keyboard. I had never met any of Anessa's family. I wondered what her cousin looked like. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
'That must be him.' I thought.
I opened the door and I almost screamed. The man that stood at the door had flowing brown hair down to his shoulders and deep blue eyes. This was Guy-Manuel from Daft Punk!
"You must be Rose. I'm Guillame Emmanuel but I prefer Guy or Guy-Manuel." he said in his deep, rich French accent. "I'm here to teach you how to play piano."
He held his hand out and I placed mine in his but to my surprise he brought my hand up to his lips and pressed gently instead of shaking it. This gesture, of course, made my cheeks flush red."I-it's nice to meet you, Guy-Manuel." I stammered. I'm already a shy person, and it's not helping that my favorite member of my favorite band is the person I'm talking to. "You're in Daft Punk, aren't you? "
"Yes, are you a fan?" He asked with a flawless smile.
"Well, you guys are only my favorite band. " I chucked.
"That's awesome!" he said, brushing his hair behind his ear. "Are you ready to start?"
"Yeah, I'm ready. " I said, leading him to the key board. We a sat down and I turned it on.
"OK, give me an A." he said.
I played a sour A chord and winced when I heard the sound my fingers had produced. Guy chucked softly.
"Good try. Try putting your hands like this." he said, placing my hands on the keyboard is the right fashion. His hands were soft and warm and my heart started thumping the minute he touched them. What was going on with me? Normally I would have shrugged something like that off, but is seemed that everything Guy did affected the way I felt. "Now, give me an A."
I played an A chord and he smiled. I brought my face up to look at him. He looked at me and, for a minute, we just looked into each other's eyes. He looked away and I could see that he was trying to hide his blush.
"How was that?" I asked, curious.
"Beautiful." he said, smiling. I blushed and looked back at the keyboard. "Just like you."
A snort of laughter escaped my throat and I looked at him. "Me? Beautiful? I think you have the wrong girl." I chucked.
"No, I'm not mistaken. You are beautiful." he said back.
"Thanks. You know, it's been a few years since anyone's told me that." I said, playing a random little tune."Really? I guess I'm the only one who noticed your sparkling hazel eyes and angelic face." he said, but then got an embarassed 'did I just say that out loud' look on his face.
I grinned and blushed. "Thank you." I felt a strange feeling stir in my chest and shook my head. What is this guy doing to me?
