Fourth Year

Sirius POV

I woke up panting, still anxious I looked to my right to see the time. 3 AM. Everyone should be asleep. I was breathing so hard i didn't even notice the steady streams of tears and the soft sobs escaping my lips.

"Padfoot?" a soft voice called out. I gasped and held my breath "Pads you okay?" I silently prayed it wasn't James, he was my best mate sure, but he would just make it worse.

When I didn't  reply I saw a hand slide around the curtain and pull it back, wand light pouring over my bed, initially lit for reading. "Hey are you okay?" Mooney asked softly

"Mm I'm fine" I replied, voice thick with emotion. "Stop lying, what's happened?" 

"It was just a nightmare bugger off" I rolled over in my bead and shoved the comforter over my head. 

He sighed then "Nox" I hoped he would just go to bed and ignore the subject tomorrow. I was wrong. He slowly lifted the comforter and slid under it behind me wrapping his arms around me in a tight grip. "what're you doin?" I croaked not even shoving him off of me. 

"You're refusing to talk but that doesn't mean i wont comfort you still" He whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine. "okay" I replied softly, then relaxing a bit trying to fall back asleep.

A sudden thought jolted me awake. I was sleeping in the same bed as my crush. I was sleeping in the same bed as my crush. 

"Remus?" I asked the air "Yeah?" a voice whispered in my ear. I turned around to face him, slowly so he could stay comfortable. "Can I get something off my chest?" He stared at me and nodded slowly. I took in a deep breath, was I really about to do this? he was one of my best mates what if he thought I was weird? I had already told James, but I didn't know how the others would react. I didn't have to tell him I was madly in love with him tonight, that could happen later. I opened my mouth about to speak when a sudden thought entered my head. What if he called me a faggot?  No Remus wouldn't do that, would he? 

"I'm gay" I blurted suddenly, then quickly put a hand over my mouth. He chuckled a little. chuckled. " Padfoot, so am I" 

It happened so suddenly no one could tell who kissed who, but soon my mouth was locked against his in sweet synchrony, like a rhythm we had known our whole lives.

"Mmm" he said softly as my tongue slipped into his mouth creating a new beat, new song, new notes. He kissed me harder and we leaned back against the bed, slowing down slightly ending up just cuddling.

I awoke the next morning with Remus in my arms looking up at me fondly laying on my chest

"Mmm good morning" He hummed in response closing his eyes in the early sunlight spilling in through the left open curtain on the four poster bed. 

"Morning boys!" a voice shouted startling both of us enough to jump up despite our exhaustion

"Did you two have fun last night?" James asked wiggling his eyebrows  

"Shove off Potter" Remus moaned laying back into me, making me chuckle.

James smirked and I mouthed 'shut up' before looking back down at Remus and smiling 

So this is love
