1980, new camp

Necklace

we get back to our cabin and try not to wake any one up. We go to sleep and I wake up with Emma standing over me, Looking at me. "What the fuck?" I ask her shocked. She smiles, "Breakfast!" She says happily causing Nick to wake up. She skips out of the cabin looking happier then ever.

"What's up with her?" Nick says. I look over to him. "I don't know. Hey aren't you supposed to be at the mess hall already? Don't Sunnyvalers get 'special breakfast' or some shit?" I say sarcastically.

"Ha ha. Good one." He says rolling his says rummaging through his duffle bag trying to find an outfit to wear for the day.

He heads to the bathroom with some jeans and an off-white shirt. I look through my bag as well to find an outfit for today's activities. "Well. Were doing campfire night later on so I'll need a jumper for the walk and a shirt under it. Maybe black so no ashes can ruin it.." I say to myself. 

"I have no clothes!" I say raising my voice as I hear a laugh coming from in side the bath room. I look over and roll my eyes. "Stay out of it Goode." 

Thats when I see something..

I place the outfit that I had made on my bed when someone knocks on the door. I walk over and see counsellor Miller. 

"Jeez, Are you like the only counsellor at this camp." I say lowering my eyebrows. He laughs. "Nope, I just like annoying you." 

I tuck my lips in together. Yeah. 'Annoying me..' He just looks at me as I change my facial expression. "Okay.." I say while he keeps on looking at me. I flick my hands out signaling for him to answer me.

"You gonna leave me alone?" I ask. He doesn't answer. "What are you doing !?" I ask since he wasn't responding. He chuckles to himself. "You're mad. It's cute.." He says looking back up to me.

"No. This isn't happening okay. Fuck off." I say closing the door when he stops it from going all the way. 

He lets a girl in to the cabin. And she puts her hand out in front of me as Counsellor Miller leaves. "Hey. I'm Ella." She says in a cheery voice. I skeptically shake her hand when Nick walks out of the bathroom. 

"Hey! Your here!" He says when the girl runs up to him. They give each other a hug. "Did I miss something?" I ask

They both laugh. "Y/N. Meet Ella." Nick says looking at me while he wraps his arm around Ella's shoulder, "Uhh yeah I did that." I said uncomfortably.

"Oh shit!" Nick says raising his hand to his head. "No this is my cousin!" I laughed, "That makes a lot more sense."

I grab my clothes and go in the bath room to get changed. 

Once I walked out Nick and Ella had already left. He was probably just showing her around so I didn't think much about it. I head to the meeting room for breakfast where I am greeted by Emma and her friends.

"Took you long enough!" Emma says as I sit down next to Poppy. "Yeah. There's no good food left!" Poppy points out.

I look over at the food bar to see a bunch of beans ready to be put on someone's plate. I make a gagging face. "I wasn't hungry anyway." I say laughing. I go to scratch my neck when I realise something is wrong.

"Shit." I say to myself feeling around my neck. No no no! My necklace is gone! I feel my heart drop as my breathing gets heavier. 

That's when Mr. Miller gets up on one of the front tables. "Okay guys! I hope you are all prepared for tonights campfire!" He yells. 

"Oh. and just a reminder for everyone to stay in there cabins once their told to go to sleep! Because someone was in this room last night after midnight. They had left before we got in but we found something the imposter might want to collect." He says holding up my necklace.

Fuck. "It's either you own up now of you won't be getting this back." He says once again. I notice Emma look closely at him and what he was holding. Then she looks at me and at my neck. 

She stands up as I look over at her. "Emma what are you doing!?" I say in a whisper shout. "It's mine!" She shouts across the room. I look up at her as she walks over to collect the necklace. Mr. Miller smiles and hands it to her. 

"My office. now." You could quietly hear him say to her. They both walk out of the meeting hall. 

Once they come back Emma sits down as I stare at her. I get up and pull her out of the room with me. 

"What the fuck did you do that for!?" I say to her as she passes me my necklace. "You did the same for me, so I was repaying your favour." She says smiling

I laugh. "What happened in his office?" I ask her. "I got two strikes for sneaking out and breaking in." I look at her widening my eyes at what she said. "Holy Shit!" 

"Thanks though I would be dead if I stood up." I said again. She looked at me smiling. "That's what friends are for.." 

We walk back to the meeting room and sit back down at our table. Pretty much every one was acting like nothing happened and that they forgot. That's why the people at this camp are strange..
