Part 6

2 Weeks Later

Anna's POV

     2 weeks. 2 weeks without Maria. I never talked to anyone. I never looked at anyone. I never payed attention to anyone. And I never ate anything. Just a few crackers here and there, but besides that, nothing. I was just thinking about Maria. Now that I think of it, Maria was my only friend. Is my only friend. She can't be dead! She can't! I know she's alive and I have to find her!

     I jumped off my bed and rode my bike to the police station. I put my bike on the bike rack and barged through the doors.

"I need... to speak... to officer... Shynia please." I said out of breath.

"Yes?" A voice said while coming up from behind the lady at the counter. It was Officer Shynia.

"Officer Shynia. I need you to come with me to the school, I think I know where some evidence is." I said.

He sighed. "Alright alright, I'll be out in 5 minuets. Wait at the door." He said.

20 minutes later

     Officer Shynia and I got out of the car and into the school. It was 7:36 at night so no one was there. I grabbed Officer Shynia's hand and dragged him to the room where Maria was shot, Mrs. Niall. I opened the door as quickly as I could and looked around. At first I saw regular class things; posters, paper, desks, stuff like that. But that's when I saw it. Her desk was open. She never opens it. She wouldn't even have known because she was half blind and it was her second desk which she barley uses. I ran over to it. Inside, I saw the most needed piece of evidence ever. I gasped and stepped back.

"O-officer Shynia," I stuttered. "L-look."

Officer Shynia's POV

     This girl, taking me to a damn school when I could've been having dinner with my family. We better have come here for a good reason. I looked around for any evidence as did she.

"O-officer Shynia, l-look." She stuttered. She pointed to an open drawer. I peeked inside. What I saw, truley was amazing.

A pistil with one missing bullet. The bullet that shot Maria.
