Chapter #35: Two Versus One

(N): The crew has arrived at Ietik island, to visit the famous underwater restaurant Motomizu Setchi Restaurant. Once there, they get  into trouble with the owner of the place forcing (Y/N) to work in order to pay of there debt. But unbeknownst to them a pirate crew know as the Goutou Noshery Pirates was looking for someone who happened to work at the same restaurant, Anona! Not knowing to much of the situation in hand, (Y/N) decided to fight them of. To give him a proper reason, the pirate captain Madame Cheng Chi regales him with the story of how Anona was force to be a member of her crew. Furious with this information, (Y/N) attacks Madame on the spot.

Madame: On the next day I found out she had escaped, so I send people looking for her.

(Y/N): The way you talk about her, made it sound like you couldn't stand her. So why go trough the trouble of getting her back?!

Madame: Truth the told. I grew attached to her, after all... I did raise her for twenty one years.

(Y/N): So what?! You feel like your her mother now?!

Madame: No. More like ... ...a child loving his toys!

As soon as those words left Madame's mouth, (Y/N) lunged forward and punched Madame in the face. She was sent back from the spot she was standing, when she looked at (Y/N) his face reflected rage.

(Y/N): You never allowed her to have a life and now you treat her like a toy! I will never let you leave with her!!!

Madame: Is that so? But you know I have to admit, that was a good punch.

     She replies to you as she spits out a bit of blood.

Madame: I would like to see you try. Because soon the water that is filling this place will be up to your waist and when that happens you will cease to function, just like a machine without power.

(Y/N): I'll just have to beat you before that happens! (She's right though. If I don't do something soon, I'll be useless! I can already feel my strength fading, I have to do something and fast).

You think to yourself of what you can do, as your strength fades away while the water rises. You can't really get in close to fight do to your weaken state, this being the case you realize that range is your only option, so you decide that the best course of action would be to jump on top of the tables in order to have most of your strength.

(Y/N): (This better work).

Madame: Hopping around like a frog won't help you get out of this.

(Y/N): Shows how little you know!

Now that you found your footing out of the sea water, the strength that was fading returns. Feeling the strength back your forearm turns into nuclear energy as you throw it forward with a whip motion sending nuclear droplets flying towards Madame. Your 'Nuclear Sling' attack!

If only it where that easy, but no! Madame manages to side step the attack even thou the water is hindering her movement, she is still rather quick on her feet despite of it.

Madame: Is this why you decided to jump on top the table? So you can use your make shift range attacks against me? Heh! If your going to shoot someone, do it with a gun.

Having said they, Madame takes aim at you with her gun and begins shooting. To avoid the shots, although not affected by them you still don't like the sensation of having a bullet go through your body; you begin to jump around from table yo table and even chairs that are starting to float around in the water.

With all the hopping you are doing, Madame predicted a jump and was able to hit you in the air as you where in between jumps. Of course, the bullet flies right through.

Madame: That is most inusual, you did eat a Devil fruit, thou I never expected it to be a logia. This makes killing you much harder that it should be.

(Y/N): Is not like I had any plans on letting you kill me anyway.

Madame: Pity.

You continue to attack Made with your range techniques and she retaliates with her gun. However, of to the side is Tep who's is keeping Anona and Hurlbert hostage, decides that it's time to head back to the ship with the two of them. Anona who has, seemingly woken up already, is pondering on the acts of (Y/N) as she's being dragged out.

Anona: (Why would he go so far for me? Why is he risking his life for someone he just met and barley know?)

     She reminisces on the words that  (Y/N) had said to Madame. Anona can't understand why he is doing anything for her. All her life, no one had ever cared about her so she doesn't know how  to react when someone does something for her, when anyone does anything for her.

     Now that Tep had dragged them both out of the restaurant, they are met with Elulu who is now confronting him.

Elulu: Let them go!

Tep: Ha!! As if you could stop me. Now step aside before you die for no reason.

     The battle between (Y/N), although in this context more like shoot out, continues with Madame becoming more and more frustrated with (Y/N) jumping around like some sort of bug.

Madame: I've had enough of this. This water needs to rise faster.

(Y/N): What...?

    Madame, who can no longer tolerate (Y/N) idiotic plan of jumping around, aimed her gun at the remaining glass walls inside the restaurant the ones still unharmed.

Madame: It was fun playing Cat and Mouse with you. But at the end of this game... the cat always kills his prey!

(Y/N): Shit!! Really wish I could swim right now...

     She pulls the trigger on her gun unloading it completely on the glass walls that still stood unharmed, and even the on the one that was previously shot too, to make sure it breaks properly. all the glasses shatter under the heavy water pressure that now rushes in the restaurant flooding the whole place in seconds.

   Withe the place completely flooded Madame swims to the exit with no problems as (Y/N) slowly drowns on the floor un able to move a single hair. Madame reached the surface through the stairs that lead to the entrance, once out she meets with Tep, who is pointing his gun at Elulu.

Tep: Captain, everything is taken care of?

Madame: Who do you think your talking to!? He is dead. And if not... then he will be. He will drown, hopefully... very slowly.

     Hulber notices all the water at the stair case leading to the restaurant and his one worry, is not about his dish washer boy (Y/N), no. It's not even about his beloved restaurant that he spent so much of his time on, no. His one concern was about his grandson Tadashi who was still unconscious at his personal office, that's  where all his concerns lie.

Hulbert: ELULU!!! FORGET ABOUT ME!! GO GET TADASHI BEFORE HE DROWNS!!!

Madame: So loud at his old age... Tep, just pull the trigger and let's leave already.

     Before he can , Anona, who was still wondering about (Y/N) reasons for acting like that, suddenly breaks free of Tep's grab and jumps head first into the flooded restaurant.
