She was heat, not the burning kind that left you panting and sweating, but the kind that left your skin lightly bronzed and toned.



She wasn't the type of heat you'd try to hide from to cool down, but the type that had you begging and craving for more.


She wasn't blistering fire or sweltering sunshine.


She was more like hot tea and fuzzy socks or the breezes on summer evenings.


She had arms of velvet that managed to melt every issue away when she wrapped them around me.



She was the warmest thing I've ever called home.


But I guess I had burned her warmth out because now, it was cold again.












a/n: hey y'all! welcome to below zero! im writing this while also writing ignition so i'll do my best to keep both equally updated! this fic will also not be as dark as ignition just keep that in mind! i also know very little about ice hockey but i'll be doing my best to learn about the terminology and everything before we get to any game scenes! anyways, i hope y'all enjoy! stay safe pals!
